YMCA OF CATAWBA VALLEY

In 1969, when the YMCA was celebrating 125 years of service, the Catawba County YMCA was chartered in Conover. In 1994, to mark the establishment of the Hickory Foundation YMCA and to reflect its regional emphasis, the name was changed to the YMCA of Catawba Valley. The YMCA of Catawba Valley is locally autonomous and is a volunteer organization dedicated to meeting the needs of its own community... The YMCA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit social services organization dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility... The Y offers more than just fitness programs, a fitness center, or a pool. It offers fitness for all ages and financial assistance for fitness programs.
