Wapakoneta is a City of just under 10,000 people that sits near the crossroads of two major highways, US-75 and OH-33. We are part of the Tree City USA program. Wapakoneta is the birthplace of Neil Armstrong and home of the Armstrong Air & Space Museum... Our goal is to share information about our City in a concise and friendly manner, serving mainly residents but also visitors to our fine City... A small city with a big heart, Wapakoneta offers a charming downtown with lots to explore, including many antique shops and other specialty stores. We have thriving industrial parks that are growing by leaps and bounds.
