Alan Bain

Alan is a Projects Director at Mott MacDonald in Birmingham. Mott MacDonald is a global engineering, management and development consultancy focused on guiding our clients through many of the planet's most intricate challenges. They are an independent, private company wholly owned by its employees and Alan leads the transport team in Birmingham having worked in the City for the past 25 years. He became a member of the Accessible and Connected Working Group for Colmore BID in 2014 and as a Board Director is also Chair of the Safe and Sound Working Group. Since 2005 Alan has also been a Trustee at Continental Star FC, a social enterprise and registered charity based in north Birmingham that over the last 40 years has offered a range of community services and sporting activities to all ages. With three boys at home Alan spends most of his weekends coaching, mentoring and supporting various sports events including football, rugby, tennis and swimming. He is a regular cyclist and is always keen to talk about the benefits of active travel and how the right transport infrastructure can contribute to both the liveability of a place as well as its economic success.

Alex Tross

Alex is Commercial Director at Centrick, a leading commercial and residential property specialist. Alex provides strategic advice to a diverse range of private and public sector clients across the wider West Midlands and specialises in disposals, tenant representation and development consultancy. He sits on the West Midlands Office Agents Society Committee. In his capacity as a Colmore Business District Board Director, Alex is Deputy Chair of the Board and Working Group lead for the BID's Place Marketing and Hospitality committee.

Brigid Jones

Councillor Brigid Jones is the Labour Member for Bournbrook and Selly Park and the Deputy Leader of Birmingham City Council.

David Colcombe

David has a wealth of experience in the food sector spanning over the last 15 years, running a succession of restaurant operations within London and the Midlands. His role at Liquid is extremely varied, ranging from recipe development and preparing dishes for photoshoots, to overseeing the agency's operations and working on Liquid's future strategy. David has been involved in the Colmore BID since 2018 and alongside being a Board Director, is also a member of the BID's Community Building Working Group. David is proud to have played a key role in every Colmore Food Festival since its inception.

James has worked as a Security Officer at the BID for 2 years. His main day-to-day responsibility is to keep the streets of Colmore and the businesses within the area safe. He also provides support for homeless people and any vulnerable civilians. James is particularly proud of catching a bank thief last year with his fellow security partner Aaron.

John-Jo Von Johnson

John-Jo is the Street Operations Manager at Colmore BID and has been with the BID since May 2016. John-Jo manages the Street Operations team which consists of four security officers, one ambassador and a cleaner. The team's main role in the District is keeping the businesses, staff and public safe and sound. The team works closely with local partners such as West Midlands Police and Birmingham City Council to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. The Street Operations team are part of the Safe and Sound Working Group. One of John-Jo's achievements while working at the BID is becoming Vice Chairman of the Local Partnership Deliver Group which has enabled John-Jo to work more closely with local partners across the City Centre.

Jonathan Bryce

Jonathan joined the team in 2013 as a Projects Maker. His main focus was delivering the BID's Safe and Sound Workstream, however, over the years he has worked on projects across the spectrum of the BID's Business Plan. As Colmore BID entered its third term, Jonathan become the Operations Manager for the BID. He is responsible for making sure the BIDs projects and services run as they should, supporting the delivery and Street Operations team, and keeping an eye on our Governance.

Kate Bailey

Kate is a legal director at Squire Patton Boggs, a full-service global law firm. Kate trained and qualified with the firm and has worked in their Birmingham office since 2008. Kate is an experienced specialist pensions lawyer, advising sponsoring employers and trustees of pension schemes on a wide variety of issues, including governance, legislative compliance, benefit change projects, corporate transactions, buy-ins/outs and wind ups. Kate is the deputy chair of the Outstanding Places Working Group, is a key member of the Jewellery Quarter Neighbourhood Plan, and is a trustee of the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

Katy Paddock

Katy joined the Colmore BID team in November 2016 as Michele's Executive Assistant, she is now the BID's Special Projects Executive. She looks after our Floral Enhancements and Christmas Lights scheme which sit under our Outstanding Places Working Group. These schemes aim to decorate the District throughout the year and enhance it for those who live, work and visit the District. Katy has completed the Certificate in BID Management.

Kelsey Dwyer

Kelsey joined Colmore BID in 2022 to take on the management of the Districts events. She had previously worked as part of the Commercialisation team at Hammerson leading on Brand Experience events for Bullring and Grand Central. Along with building on the amazing events the BID has already introduced Kelsey will be the new office lead for Community Building. The Community Building working group will focus on building the community in the district along with looking at ways to support the local community.

Lee Stirrup

Lee initially joined Colmore BID as a temp for a few months, to help check information in the run up to the 2018 Ballot. She later re-joined as the BID's Database Officer. Lee's role includes checking and helping to keep the data held about the organisation in our area up to date, which often involves quite a bit of research! She has been back at the BID for over 2 years now and enjoys being part of the team.

Melanie Williams

Melanie is a partner in the Birmingham & London Real Estate team at DWF with over 15 years of dedicated real estate experience acting for government agencies, real estate funds, developers, banks and property investors. She has a particular expertise in the acquisition of hotels, development and refurbishment projects and real estate finance in addition to handling asset management work for investors, developers and banks as well as dealing with landlord and tenant matters. Melanie is a Board Director at Colmore BID, chairs the Outstanding Places Working Group and sits on the Business Matters committee.

Michele Wilby - CEO

Michele is Colmore BID's Chief Executive Officer. She has been with the BID since it started in 2009 and has been responsible for driving it forward ever since. As well as reporting back to levy payers and our Board, Michele is responsible for ensuring the BID is developing and nurturing the right strategic partnerships across the city. Michele also oversees the delivery of Colmore BID's BID 3 Business Plan.

Mike Best

Mike is a Senior Director for Turley, a national planning and development consultancy with offices across the UK. He led their Birmingham office for 11 years, and has served on their board/leadership team for the last ten. He has worked in Birmingham city centre for over 25 years and joined the BID board in 2009, serving as deputy chair, on Remuneration Committee, and lead for the Public Realm, Place Marketing and Safe & Sound Working Groups. He initiated and chairs the steering group for the Future Business District Study. Mike also lectures at the University of Birmingham Planning School and sits on their RTPI Partnership Board.

Mike Mounfield

Mike is one of our Projects Managers and has been working part-time at Colmore BID since 2013. His original background is civil engineering so he takes a leading role in our public realm projects. His specialism was highways and transportation so he advises us on connectivity issues. He has a qualification in Art History, so he also tends to tackle out art-related projects. Mike was behind the well-loved #NicklinUnseen photography exhibition in Snow Hill Square in 2015, the ground-breaking Thresholds VR project in 2018 and our first five parklets deployed across the District in 2020. Mike is joint lead on our Snow Hill Public Realm Programme which is due to see the completion of two significant schemes this year: Cornwall Street and Colmore Row East. Mike supports the Outstanding Places and Accessible & Connected Working Groups.

Nicola Fleet-Milne - Chairman

Nicola is the owner of multi-award winning estate agency, FleetMilne, based in the heart of the Colmore BID. Since founding the company in 2004, Nicola has grown the business to become one of the most recognised and respected residential agencies in Birmingham. Her contribution to Colmore BID reflects her desire to have an impact, something she achieves with efficiency and good humour. Since January 2020, Nicola has led the board as Chair; her first successful challenge was guiding the ship through the Covid19 pandemic. She also chairs the Business Matters Working Group, which contributes strategic input to the board and executive team.

Nicole Panayiotou

Nicole joined the team in 2018 and took the role on as the Ambassador of Colmore BID. She is part of the Streets Operation team, working alongside the Safe and Sound Working Group. Her main responsibility's are reporting and assisting building managers and venue owners with environmental issues that occur in the Colmore area. She welcomes new businesses and conducts regular business visits to keep them updated with any changes or issues that they might be facing. Through time she has thrived in the role and has resolved a high number of issues with her customers skills, patience and persistence. As a huge fan of the coffee scene in the District, coffee shop hopping is one of her day off activities as is socialising with friend and colleagues.

Paul Fielding

Paul has worked in the investment industry for over 20 years (15 years at Brewin Dolphin) and specialises in the management of investments for a range of clients including private individuals, trusts, pension schemes and charities etc. In the vast majority of cases he manages a range of investments including equities, fixed interest securities, collective investments and structured products, on a discretionary basis in line with the underlying client's requirements. At the present time he is responsible for around £70m of client's assets. His role at Colmore Business District couldn't be any more different to his day job. Paul has been on the Board, initially as the Birmingham Future Representative (now BPS Birmingham), since the Colmore BID began in 2009. He is the working group champion of the Accessible & Connected Working Group, which is responsible for tackling transportation & movement issues in and around the Colmore BID area. The group have helped to influence a number of projects including Interconnect & the Snow Hill Interchange Plan (SHIP). Paul is also Deputy Chair of the Colmore BID Board.

Rosie Ginday MBE is founder and CEO of Miss Macaroon, a social enterprise that reinvests 100% of profits into helping unemployed young people gain skills that will help change their lives. Over the last decade Miss Macaroon has helped over 125 young people with multiple and complex needs to build their skills and confidence and get into work. Miss Macaroon is the only patisserie in the world that can Pantone colour match macaroons exactly to corporate and wedding colours. Rosie is an England Committee Member at The National Lottery Community Fund and was awarded an MBE in 2019 for her services to the community providing support for young people facing long-term unemployment.

Ryan Boothe

Ryan's role is to keep Colmore Business District as safe as possible for businesses, members of the public and anybody walking through. He has been at the company for 2 years and is an integral part of the team. Ryan's day-to-day responsibilities include patrolling around the District and dealing with any anti-social behaviour. The Street Operations team also offer support and guidance in the morning to anyone who is sleeping or begging on the street. Ryan is part of the Safe and Sound Working Group, and has great a relationship with our local partners, who work close with the Street Operations team to help tackle any trouble in the city.

Sandeep Shingadia

Sandeep is Director of Development and Delivery at Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) and is responsible for a number of key transport programmes including the HS2 Connectivity Package, Sprint Bus Rapid Transit and Cycling and Walking Infrastructure. He is a member of TfWM's Leadership Board and has previously been a member of the Accessible and Connected Working Group. Sandeep has been a board director for Colmore Business Improvement District since 2018. With over 23 years' experience in the transport sector, Sandeep is a passionate and knowledgeable transport professional with skills in strategy, economic appraisal, sustainable transport, scheme development and programme delivery. Sandeep has a degree in Town Planning with a specialism in transport and is a chartered member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport.

Sir Albert Bore

Tim Hall

Tim joined Hays in October 2000 and he is currently a Director specialising in Finance appointments for local businesses. He also has responsibility for some of the largest Hays customer relationships and project managing high volume recruitment campaigns. Tim also sits on the Midlands Shared Service Forum committee and has been actively involved with Colmore BID since March 2018. Outside of work his family (4 kids!) give him limited time for anything else, but he loves all forms of sport and will play and watch as much as he can. Tim also does a lot of work for charity; he ran the London Marathon very slowly twice and he enjoys a good social.

Victoria Osgood

Vicky works for HS2 Ltd as a Business Engagement Manager. HS2 Ltd is the company responsible for developing and promoting the UK's new high speed rail network and has an office in the heart of the Colmore Business District. Over the last few years Vicky has worked for the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce and The Birmingham Whisky Club. She has been an adopted Brummie since 2006, when she graduated from Birmingham City University with a degree in Media and Communications. Vicky has previously sat on working groups and volunteered for charities around the city and is a vocal advocate for the region and its businesses

Zack Palmer

Zack works within the Street Operations team as a Security Officer and has been working at the BID since 2020. His day-to-day responsibilities involve responding to service calls and keeping people in the area safe by walking around the District, dealing with any situations that occur and helping anybody that needs assistance. Zack also supports the street community, helping them to find places that they can get food that day or assisting them with sorting out accommodation. His biggest achievement whilst working for the BID has been helping four people get into accommodation and off the street.
