Aidan joined Create in 2014 as graduate and has since progressed to the role of Associate Director within our Transportation & Highways team. He is adept at project management and the production of various technical requirements for projects, including transport assessments, traffic modelling, construction traffic management plans, and feasibility studies.
Aidan has coordinated the successful implementation of Section 278 and 106 requirements, often playing a critical role in the detailed design process. He has represented clients at planning committee meetings and has been responsible for leading planning presentations.
A strong team player, Aidan often goes above and beyond to achieve clients' aspirations and objectives. Working closely with local planning and highways authorities has allowed Aidan to build good working relationships. These have allowed him to provide quick responses to queries and consistently deliver successful results.
Aidan is also highly efficient in the use of a variety of software, including CAD, PICADY/ARCADY, LinSig, TRICS, and TEMPRO. He is currently working towards Chartered status.
Outside of work, Aidan enjoys watching and occasionally participating in football. He is a life-long Newcastle United fan.

Alan previously worked for Pick Everard, where he was responsible for the Building Services discipline in the eastern and southern regions. Prior to that he spent time with a design and build contractor, and bespoke installer. These unique experiences have provided him with a comprehensive understanding of procurement routes, contract strategies, supply chain management, construction methods and processes.
Alan has delivered projects across all sectors working alongside notable clients such as the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice, Houses of Parliament, EDF, SSE, and United States Air Force.

Alastair joined Create in 2022 and is part of our Structures team. Prior to this, Alastair fulfilled a BIM / Engineering CAD Draughtsman role for Mott MacDonald, where he worked on a variety of medium and large scale projects including, HS2, Heathrow Airport and London 2012.
With over 15 years' experience producing 2D and 3D drawings and models to support the design and delivery of projects across all sectors, Alastair provides our clients with detailed technical advice. His experience ranges from reporting on clash detection to ensuring efficient design through best use of software tools.
Alastair has extensive formal training in a variety of drawing software including Revit, AutoCAD and Civil 3D. He is also capable of utilising many other software packages such as Navisworks, KeySIGN, Bentley MicroStation and Adobe CC.
Alastair uses this extensive software knowledge to produce and develop full-scale and detailed designs for projects. He has strong knowledge of building regulations and safety standards, which enables him to implement best practice procedures whilst also ensuring all the drawings are compliant for current standards and regulations.

Amrie joined Create in 2022 and is part of our Water & Flood Risk team. She is an expert user of QGIS and ArcGISPro, skilled in both technical and scientific writing with strong publication history.
Amrie is ICE's new water futures ambassador after winning the grand prize at the Water Futures Challenge event in July 2022. She is adept at the use of modelling as a risk assessment tool for Water Resource Management, and can present and explain modelling data and outputs to clients and stakeholders. She is also highly skilled with hydrological modelling software such as TUFLOW, Infoworks ICM, LISFLOOD, HEC-RAS, SWAT+, Itzi and Flood Modeller Pro.
Amrie completed her Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Hydrology and Urban Flood Modelling in December 2023. Her thesis and research on urban flood modelling, looked at how to represent drainage systems in flood models when the data required is missing or lacking. The examiners read through all of Amrie's work in detail and concluded that her research and write-up was substantial and showed new and novel thinking.
Outside of work, Amrie plays the piano and enjoys cooking.

Andrew has a masters degree in Engineering Geology and over 18 years' experience in the Geo-Environmental field. He joined Create in 2017 as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer.
His passion for the earth-sciences has taken him to far flung places such as Shetland, the North Sea and Western Australia, working on projects for gas storage, oil exploration, ports, rail links and pipelines.
Andrew is part of our Geo-Environmental team and has extensive experience in undertaking ground investigations, the interpretation of ground conditions, providing slope stability analysis, design of retaining walls, recommendations for foundations, earthworks design and validation. This specialist work often plays a major role in pre-planning and design stages, ultimately enabling our clients' developments to progress towards application and approval.
Outside of work Andrew has a passion for cycling and the great outdoors and can often be found exploring with his children.

Angie joined us in 2016. She is part of the finance team and works closely alongside James Dain and Karen Cage.

Barrie is a Chartered Engineer with over 27 years' experience in highways and infrastructure planning. He joined Create in 2011 and has been responsible for the growth, output and performance of our Civil Engineering team and management of our Glasgow office. Prior to joining us, Barrie was a Project Engineer at Beattie Watkinson and Senior Engineer at Millard Consulting.
Barrie has built a robust team of civil engineers, technicians and consultants, that are adept at the coordination of design and approval of highways and drainage infrastructure. Barrie's experience of working on projects across the UK has seen him lead the drafting of plans and technical notes, discharge planning conditions and ensure effective project and programme management.
Barrie also has a detailed understanding of major trunk roads across the UK, particularly in the Eastern Counties, where he has played a major role in the development of the A47 and A11.
Barrie has excellent inter-personal skills, good leadership and management abilities which allow him to communicate effectively with our clients and project management teams.
Barrie hates the cold, which is a problem living in Scotland. Outside of work, he enjoys all sports but has a particular fondness for rugby and athletics.

Ben joined Create in 2018 as an Acoustic Consultant and has since progressed to his current role of Principal Acoustic Consultant. As part of our Acoustics team, Ben has expediently moved projects forward with an objective and driven approach that clients and design teams alike respond well towards and appreciate.
Prior to Create, Ben was an Acoustic Engineer at Stroma and Main Stage Manager at BSTK Festival. He also spent 6 years as a Dryliner before deciding on a career change, which would combine his passion for music with the built environment.
After working on site, Ben returned to university to complete his studies. Where upon request, he presented the findings of his research at the Institute of Acoustics. A summary of this research was subsequently published in the Institute's monthly publication.
This career experience-to-date has given Ben a unique insight into acoustics within a live construction environment, alongside extensive knowledge of architectural acoustics and the field's relevant guidance. This has enabled him to recommend and implement robust on-site mitigation measures for a wide variety of projects.
Outside of work, Ben is involved in music and audio production for personal, art and community projects. You can also find him mountain biking or in the gym.

Bomi is a Chartered Engineer with a passion for effective design management and the delivery of energy efficient, low carbon buildings. She joined Create in 2022 and is part of the MEP Building Services management team.
Bomi has over 17 years' experience providing technical services and support, from planning and design stages through to construction and commissioning. Prior to joining Create, Bomi held the roles of Senior Mechanical Engineer, Environmental, and Sustainability Consultant for the AWA, Calfordseaden, Dowling Blunt, and BDP.
Bomi utilises her knowledge to help design and manage mechanical systems for heating, cooling, domestic water services, above ground drainage, ventilation and refrigeration. Bomi can also provide multidisciplinary input on sustainability and energy related aspects. She is a CIBSE Low Carbon Energy Assessor (LCEA) and Low Carbon Consultant (LCC); these allow her input directly into our clients' sustainability and environmental objectives and aspirations.
Outside of work, Bomi enjoys spending time with her children and socialising with her friends and family. She is also a fanatical cook and baker.

Charlie joined us in 2014 as a Team Secretary responsible for providing general business support to our consultants, engineers and technicians.
Since then she has become an integral part of the business support team, playing a key role in day-to-day team activities, carrying out a range of tasks including document management, proof reading, report formatting and other administrative duties.

Claire is a Civil and Environmental Engineer with over 10 years' experience in flood risk and sustainable drainage. She specialises in 3D design, water and structural engineering and joined Create in 2023 as an Associate Director within our Water & Flood Risk team.
Prior to joining us, Claire spent 10 years at a national flood risk consultancy where she worked her way from Environmental Engineer to Associate level. Prior to that she spent 9 months in a graduate role at AECOM.
Claire is passionate about ensuring developments are safe from flooding. She utilises her extensive knowledge and technical skillset to recommend appropriate mitigation measures and the most suitable sustainable drainage systems for a site. Claire has vast experience developing flood evacuation plans, designing floodplain compensation schemes, and foul strategies for developments. She is also highly skilled in software such as Site 3D, Flood Modeller, HEC-Ras, and Micro Drainage.
When not working, Claire enjoys galivanting to new countries and is often found flying down mountains on her skis. When she's in London, you'll find her with friends, exploring art galleries or watching London Lions basketball.

Claire has over 20 years' experience in the construction and property industry. She previously worked for Millard Consulting before joining Create in 2012. As one of our first members of staff, she has played a critical role in the expansion of the business, helping to determine its strategic outlook by working closely alongside our Managing Director and senior management team.
She currently holds the role of Practice Manager and is responsible for maintaining our offices across the UK. Claire has a robust and flexible skillset, ranging from general administration and finance through to project management and bidding.
Colin is an Geo-environmental Specialist with over 30 years' experience supporting projects at feasibility, planning, design and construction stages. He joined Create in 2015 and is responsible for the growth, output and performance of our Geo-environmental team.
Prior to joining Create, Colin held senior management roles within other engineering and environmental consultants and contracting companies. Throughout his career, Colin has been responsible for managing clients, developing teams, winning work and delivering specialist technical services. His experience of working on projects across the UK, Europe and further afield ensures our clients receive robust technical advice, no matter the scale or conditions of the ground.
George joined Create in 2022 as a graduate within our Water & Flood Risk team. In July 2024 he was promoted to the role of Flood Risk Consultant.
George has worked on a diverse range of flood risk projects to-date, ranging from planning applications to property purchases. Working closely alongside senior members of the team, George has continually developed his technical abilities and successfully undertaken a variety of technical services including flood risk assessments and surface water drainage strategies. He has become highly proficient with a variety of software, including QGIS, AutoCAD, and MicroDrainage.
George is currently working towards becoming a full Member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management.
Grace joined Create in 2021 as a graduate within our Water & Flood Risk team. She has since progressed to her current role of Flood Risk Consultant, after successfully supporting the planning and design of a diverse range of flood risk projects.
A talented GIS user and 1D/2D modeller, Grace has proven herself to be a key member of the team. She specialises in climate change, specifically Natural Flood Management and Hydrological Modelling.
Independent, driven and highly skilled, Grace strives to make a difference within the industry through her work in flood modelling and the associated climate change adaptation that comes with this. She is often responsible for undertaking a variety of technical services in support of our clients' projects including hydraulic modelling, flood risk assessments and input into environmental chapters. She is highly proficient with a variety of software, including TUFLOW, FloodModellers, and HEC-RAS.
Grace is currently working towards becoming a full Member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management.

Graham is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Water and Environmental Management and Flood Risk Specialist with over 10 years' experience providing technical services to the construction and property industry. He joined Create as a graduate in 2011 and has since progressed to the role of Technical Director. He is currently responsible for the output and performance of our Water & Flood Risk team.
Graham focuses on achieving best value for our clients by analysing the requirements of a project and then selecting the right solution for its location and budget. He specialises in flood risk and drainage, catchment hydrology and hydraulic modelling, often taking a lead role in the delivery of all water related aspects of a project.
Graham is an experienced project manager, capable of engaging the full resource of our multidisciplinary consultancy to ensure critical aspects such as the drainage designs we produce work, reducing the risk of delays and increasing overall performance. He is a highly motivated leader, capable of liaising with multiple stakeholders and managing a project through to completion.

Harry joined Create in 2023 and is part of our Water & Flood Risk team. He has an MSc with Merit in Integrated Management of Freshwater Environments from Queen Mary University of London, and over five years' professional experience working within flood risk and water management.
He previously held roles at Buro Happold (Water Engineer) and Capita (Hydraulic Modeller), where he gained significant experience working on large and small scale regional, national and international projects. He possesses strong technical knowledge and is skilled in a variety of software including, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, Flood Modeller and GIS platforms such as QGIS, ArcGIS and Mapinfo.
Outside of work, Harry enjoys sailing, travelling and cycling. He even spent the second half of 2022 on his bike, cycling across Europe.

James joined us in 2018. Since his arrival he has built a small and effective finance team, one that provides strong financial management and analysis, cash flow monitoring, financial modelling and reporting on the performance of the business.
James has also developed and implemented accounting policies, conducted competitor analysis and provided input into strategic planning by working closely alongside Managing Director, Jonathan Cage.
When not at work, James enjoys spending time with his family. He also likes to go on the occasional long distance run.

He has a master's degree in Civil and Coastal Engineering and specialises in software such as FLOW, ICM, QGIS and AutoCAD. He is currently working towards Chartered status.
James provides our clients with a broad set of skills regarding sewerage and surface water management including detailed 1D/2D model build, complex asset modelling, FRA's, residential and commercial SuDS design, GIS data management and a wealth of experience in optioneering and flood mitigation.
James previously lived in Courchevel and is a keen snowboarder. He also enjoys cycling, woodwork and shooting.

Jody is a Chartered Engineer and Acoustic Consultant with over 20 years' experience. He is the Technical Director responsible for the output and performance of our Acoustics team.
Jody has fronted a number of projects since joining the business in 2017, the success of which has led to the development of a repeat client base. He has an extensive knowledge of noise and vibration, and is adept at noise modelling and the completion of noise impact assessments. When required, Jody can also act as an Expert Witness.
In March 2024, Jody was voted by other acoustic professionals into the role of Chair of the Institute of Acoustics Eastern Branch. He also sits on the Membership Committee for the Engineering Council and is a STEM Ambassador.
Jody's experience of delivering acoustic services for a wide variety of clients makes him the ideal person to take overall leadership responsibilities for the delivery of all acoustic aspects on a scheme. He is a natural leader, capable of ensuring high levels of coordination between multidisciplinary teams, the project team and key stakeholders.
Outside of work, Jody is kept active by his young family. You will often find him standing on the sideline at youth rugby, in and around Essex.

- Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Jon is a Civil Engineer with over 20 years' experience. He joined Create as a CAD Technician in 2012 and has since transferred his skillsets towards the design of highways and infrastructure, resulting in his promotion to Senior Infrastructure Engineer in 2017. Prior to joining our Civil Engineering team, Jon held rolls at Ramboll, West Sussex County Council and Halcrow.
Since joining us Jon has become a crucial member of the infrastructure team, responsible for supporting projects throughout planning and construction stages. He is responsible for highways and drainage design, and highly proficient in managing all aspects of CAD work, including the coordination of drawings for projects.
Jon's experience in both the public and private sector has served him well as an engineer, with his experience of working in traffic management and a dedicated CAD team proving to be invaluable, to not only our team, but our clients also. Jon's unique insight into highways and the process behind their approval at a local authority level, often allows him to ensure a design for a new junction or access is approved in good time.
Outside of work, Jon has DJ'd in Ibiza and once drove to Budapest in a 15 year old Ford Escort as part of a car rally with five other participants.
