Ami earned a full ride scholarship to receive her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Ami is also Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) certified. EMDR is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.
Ami has worked in the substance abuse field for approximately 4 years and has experience with all different modalities and intensities of addiction. Ami also has worked with adolescent girls in State's custody, many with substance abuse and trauma history. She has served as a Foster Parent for 16 years and fully understands the brevity of trauma and recovery. All of these experiences have enabled Ami to help clients feel their full potential and process through their trauma for a happy and healthy life during recovery.
Amy graduated magna cum laude from Nevada State with a BS in Business Administration. At the University of California, San Diego, Amy took Master's-level courses in finance, math, and economics. She was also the President of her class in the professional business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi.
Amy is the Financial Director of Alpine Recovery Lodge. She works with insurance companies to secure the best possible coverage for our patients. She also manages marketing, admissions, and outreach efforts and directs a scholarship program to help secure treatment for individuals with limited financial resources.
Amy works remotely from San Diego; but just like all our team members, Amy is dedicated to the role she plays in providing effective addiction recovery treatment for everyone who comes to the Lodge.
April's prior work experience has enhanced her organizational skills and taught her how to communicate effectively when tact and sensitivity are required. She understands the importance of the Alpine mission, and her personal goal is to manage insurance and financial matters for our patients so they can focus all their attention on recovery.
April enjoys interacting with the patients and loves seeing them heal during their stay at the lodge. April is a team player that is always willing to step in and help other staff members as needed and finds great satisfaction in knowing that the work we do together at the lodge helps change lives.
Brian earned his Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pheonix and also a Bachelors's Degree in Psychology and Accounting. Brian has previously been the Clinical Director at two other inpatient residential facilities as well as another outpatient program. These experiences have helped Brian learn the role and responsibilities of being a superb Clinical Director, as well as an understanding at facilitating the efforts of clinical, medical and programming services to maximize the client's opportunity for wellness and recovery.
Brian has also been personally impacted by the experiences of family, friends and neighbors who have struggled with hardships created by substance abuse and mental health disorders. He believes that we are all spiritually connected and that healing and recovery always come in the context of healthy relationships. Brian strives to ensure that every client at Alpine Recovery Lodge is loved, honored, and respected while receiving the finest clinical care possible. Addiction and Mental Health disorders invariably lead to isolation and suffering and Brian works hard to ensure that clients have the opportunity to reconnect with hope, happiness, and the joy of living.
Cindy is from Pleasant Grove, Utah. She attended BYU where she studied Accounting and Business and received a BA in Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino. She completed both the certificate and graduate programs from the Institute of Healing Arts, where she gained a deep appreciation of holistic modalities.
Cindy learned from her own experience what the parents of addicts have to go through, and she finds great fulfillment in helping the families of our patients on their own journeys of healing. She is deeply invested in her work at the Lodge and gives all that she can in order to "…halt the downward spiral, see the change in peoples' lives, the sparkle come back in their eyes, their dreams become reality, and their lives head out on a new path."
Darren's love of culinary art grew while cooking with his mother and grandmother as a young man. As he got older, Darren started preparing meals for his family and friends while on various outings and trips which carried on into his marriage and family life making for some great backyard barbecues.
Darren began working at the age of 12 so he is no stranger to hard work and dedication. He attended Salt Lake Community College on a Trades scholarship and was able to start his own business. Darren prides himself on his excellent leadership & service skills all while whipping up a delicious meal.
There's never a lack of laughter and good stories when Darren is around. He is a valuable part of the Alpine Recovery team as he has a strong belief in honesty, integrity and quality. As a part of the recovery community himself, Darren is able to connect with others on a very personal level and never judges anyone. The kitchen truly is the heart of the Alpine home and Darren embodies this with his family-style meals and friendly demeanor.
Dr. Harline graduated from BYU before attending medical school at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. From 1996 to 2000 he was a United States Air Force physician; he completed his four-year commitment with the rank of Major. Of his work at Alpine Recovery Lodge he writes, "I am privileged to help people who are greatly struggling to overcome their addiction. It is very much a team effort, and I have seen amazing results in many of the patients who are in recovery. The setting is beautiful, and the relatively low number of patients who are in treatment at any one time allows for more personalized care."

Dr. Robert Bush is a dual-certified Addictionologist and Family Medicine physician, with his primary practice being addiction medicine. He is board certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventative Medicine and also board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is the Founder and President of Kick the Habit Addiction Medicine in American Fork, Utah. Dr. Bush began his interest in addiction treatment during his Family Medicine residency at the Dwight D Eisenhower Army Medical Center. His passion for treating patients with addiction continued to grow as he completed a Fellowship in Addiction Medicine and Addiction Psychiatry at the University of Maryland. His vision is to have a direct relationship with each of his patients, helping those who struggle with heroin or other opiates, cocaine, alcohol, marijuana, pornography, gaming, binge eating, or any addiction.
As Alpine Recovery Lodge's Admissions Coordinator, Ivy is not only proud of her determination and motivation, but also of the fact that she understands both sides of addiction. In recovery herself, Ivy has been clean since May 3, 2005 - a fact that she is intensely proud of. After attending several treatment facilities in her recovery process, she found her strength to help others in similar circumstances, pursuing a career path in the addiction treatment field.
Ivy studied addiction treatment at Utah Valley University and became a Substance Use Disorder Counselor. She is a good example of how people can recover and make positive and productive choices in their life.
Jacob earned his undergraduate degree from Westminster College and later went to earn his Master in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Jacob has extensive experience in the substance abuse field. Before joining the Alpine team, he worked for Project Reality helping countless people learn the proper tools to help overcome their addiction.
Jacob is very proficient in working with patients and helping them practice healthy coping skills in real-life scenarios, and helping them recognize how their emotions can directly affect their thoughts and aid in a successful recovery. Jacob provides individual therapy, group therapy and family/couples therapy.
Jacob recognizes that recovery is a life-long endeavor that requires flexibility and the use of various modalities and approaches as no two patient's situations and backgrounds are identical. Jacob looks at his patients as equals and valued individuals and doesn't like to reduce them to labels (ie. addict), but rather works to build each patient up so they can recognize their own worth and potential.
Kayla is the House Manager at Alpine Recovery Lodge and is responsible for maintaining and keeping our residential treatment facility running smoothly. Before this position, she was a mentor staff member and provided residents with a safe, warm, and home-like atmosphere.
As an alumnus of Alpine Recovery Lodge, Kayla understands the struggle of addiction. She has a passion for using her personal experience, empathy, and wisdom to help others in the path of recovery. Her deep compassion and understanding of what patients are going through make her a vital asset to the team. Her goal is to help patients through every stage of healing.

Kegin Lee is a Case Manager at Alpine Recovery Lodge, responsible for providing individualized case management services to our patients. Along with our team, he works to help individuals on their path to obtaining and maintaining recovery and wellness.
Kelli earned a Bachelor of Social Work from University of Utah and a Master of Social Work from Boise State University. Kelli is also Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) certified. EMDR is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.
Kelli has worked in the substance abuse field for several years and has experience with all different modalities and intensities of addiction. These experiences have allowed her to best understand addiction and mental health in a variety of ways and enables her to tailor treatment to each individual patient for a better recovery process. Kelli has served on many rewarding programs such as Road Home, Courage Reins, CASA and Friends and Family With Addictions.
Kelli believes that everyone deserves an opportunity to achieve their goals in recovery and life and given the proper tools, motivation & support anyone can be successful. Kelli offers individual therapy as well as family/couples therapy. Kelli states, "Sometimes our journeys may be difficult, but we don't have to walk them all alone. I strive to bean integral party of this journey for all of my patients."
Drug addiction and alcoholism is prevalent in Montana's family, so addiction treatment is very personal for her. She knows first-hand how powerful addiction is and how it can tear families apart. This compassion and dedication to the treatment of addictions makes Montana a very strong member of the Alpine team.
As the House Manager, Montana prides herself on keeping the house running smoothly, from keeping the physical premises in perfect working order, to assisting patients with daily needs such as medication management. Her role at the lodge can't be summed up easily as she is constantly filling in and helping where she is needed, but most importantly, she is always there to help. Montana's goal is to make each patient feel just as comfortable as if they were at home. She is a firm believer in team work and is always stepping in to help. Montana believes that by creating a positive work environment where everyone helps each other, that good energy will transfer to the patients and will help them find positivity and hope in their early phases of recovery.
When Montana isn't busy at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, making crafts, and being in nature.
Natalie is a Licensed Practical Nurse at Alpine Recovery Lodge. She began her career as a Certified Nurse Assistant and offers three years of combined experience working in hospitals, assisted living care, and post-acute care.
While working as a CNA, Natalie discovered her passion for helping people struggling with substance use and withdrawal. With her compassionate approach to patient care, Natalie focuses on offering personalized care to respect patient values, feelings, and vulnerability during recovery.
Natalie is currently working toward her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the BYU College of Nursing. She enjoys performing client assessments, creating a positive and non-judgmental work environment, and being flexible to accommodate client needs.
When she's not working, Natalie practices self-care so that she can take better care of others.
Whitley earned her degree in Nursing from Fortis College. With nearly 10 years of experience in the
medical field, she has worked at Mountain View Hospital in Payson and Utah Valley Hospital in Provo
