Clinton Flowers

Clinton is a graduate of Baylor University (Bachelor of Music), Southern Seminary (Bachelor and Master of Church Music). He is a retired Minister of Music/Organist having served churches in North and South Carolina. He is the former editor of Children's Music for the Baptist Sunday School Board (now Lifeway). Specifically, Clinton was Editor of Young Musicians and The Children's Choir Magazines and their related music products. He is the retired Conductor of The Transylvania Choral Society of Brevard, NC. He also served on the Baptist Hymnnal, 1991 committee.

Cordell Golden

Job Titles:
  • Facilities Manager
Cordell has been our facilities manager since 2010, and he is likely the busiest staff member at Augusta Road. He manages all of the facilities for our church and Weekday Children's Education Programs - and he can fix almost anything! Cordell previously served in a custodial role at First Baptist Church in Greenville for 26 years. He is from Greenville and lives with his wife Denise. He's been a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity in the past, and in his free time he enjoys swimming and basketball and spending time with family.

Dr. Barry Combs

  • Minister of Music
Barry has been with ARBC since 2001. With a doctorate in music from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Barry's true ministry is to help adult choir members develop and sharpen their musical skills as an offering back to God. Barry recently retired as the Director of Choral Activities at North Greenville College. He has two daughters, Samantha and Allison.

Mandy Anderson

Job Titles:
  • Weekday Preschool Program Director
Mandy joined the ARBC staff this in June 2018 as the Preschool Program Director. She holds degrees in History and Secondary Education from Presbyterian College. Before coming to Augusta Road Baptist Church, she taught in Greenville County Schools for more than ten years. As a parent of two young children, Mandy understands the unique challenges facing young families today. She is passionate about ensuring teachers and parents are appropriately resources to offer the greatest care and love that leads their children toward optimal development. Mandy, Mike, and their two daughters live in the Augusta Road area.
