The Forum in 2017 marks a very special occasion, namely that we have managed Emerging Markets assets for a quarter of a century! It is the 25th anniversary of our longest running fund, Ashmore Emerging Markets Liquid Investment Portfolio (‘EMLIP'), which was established as the earliest dedicated Emerging Markets Debt investment fund in 1992. Since its inception, the fund has returned more than 18% net annually to investors, handsomely beating its benchmark by over 800bps annually...
