BASCA's mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental differences in Northeast Florida... BASCA focuses on helping individuals with intellectual and developmental differences achieve a higher quality of life and a sense of belonging. The organization was started by parents who were looking for programs that concentrated on their special needs children's abilities. The desire was to have programs and services that offer each individual opportunities to learn how to lead a life that makes them feel complete. We build not just skills, but promote independence and self-advocacy. We strongly believe in the strength of the community and encourage our participants to fully engage, irrespective of their abilities.
