NOTICE TO RESIDENTS AND BOROUGH EMPLOYEES RE: POLITICAL SIGNS: Due to developments in United States Supreme Court case law regarding the First Amendment and political signs, the Borough of Beachwood will no longer be enforcing the provision of the Borough Code, Section 13-1, entitled "POLITICAL SIGN" (second sentence), which states, "A political sign shall be permitted within 30 days prior to any national, State, County, or local election and shall be removed within five days after the election." Also, Section 13-4 shall be understood to contain an additional subsection, (g), for Political Signs, making it clear that political signs are permitted in all residential zones. The Borough Code was formally amended to reflect these revisions.
