Ashley grew up in Reading, PA. She has worked with small animals in the field for 5 years. Ashley went to RACC for their vet assistant program. She lives with her husband, Scott and their 2 rescued dogs, 2 rescued cats, 2 rats and ferret. In her free time, Ashley likes to go to the beach and volunteer to exercise rescue dogs.
Ashley is the certified pet groomer here at Bernville Pet Spa and Resort. She has always been passionate about working with animals and looks forward to advancing her career in the animal healthcare field. In her spare time, she spends time with her family and many pets and her fiance Derek. Ashley looks forward to grooming your pet in the future!
Brendan is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and is currently building his resume to apply to vet school.
He has previously worked as a kennel technician at the Wyomissing Animal Hospital.
In his free time, he enjoys watching hockey, baseball and football with his 4 cats!
Carol Stevens has been a veterinary nurse at Bernville Veterinary Clinic since 1998. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Moravian College. She is also a medical technologist, having worked in the field of in vitro fertilization at St. Lukes Hospital. Carol has sailed to New Zealand and back and animals have always been her passion. She has five cats, two dogs, and a horse.

Dr Elizabeth Devorak joined the Bernville Veterinary team in October 2018. She received her bachelor's degree in Animal Science from South Dakota State University, her DVM from Ross University and did a year of clinical work at The University of Minnesota.
Dr. Steve Stephan is the owner and founder of Bernville Veterinary Clinic. He is a Tulpehocken High School graduate, class of 1978. He attended Penn State University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, earning his VMD in 1987. His medical areas of interest are feline and canine medicine as well as soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Stephan has lived in Bernville most of his life, now living with his wife and three children who all attend or attended Tulpehocken and participate in athletics. Their oldest son is now attending Penn State University. Living with the Stephans are their wildly misbehaving four dogs and three cats. In his spare time, Dr. Stephan enjoys Tulpehocken and Penn State athletics as well as visual and musical arts.
Heather is a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School.
She attended Northampton Community College.
She started her career as a Veterinary Technician in 1995.
Heather is no stranger to the Bernville Veterinary Clinic, as she first worked here from 1999-2002.
After some time away, due to relocation, she returned in April 2022.
Heather has always had a passion for helping animals and takes great pride in her job!
Heather married her childhood sweetheart in 2019, who is a firefighter. Heather plans to take courses to become a Veterinary First Responder!
She has 3 children who keep her busy when she is not at work!
She has 2 cats , Toodles and Sushi, a Chocolate Lab named Gage, and an English Bulldog named Peri!
In her free time, she enjoys photography, outdoors, anything related to the Titanic and pursuing her side business.
Jackie has been working at our clinic since 2017 right out of high school where she majored in Agricultural Science. She has had many jobs related to animals including dairy and beef cattle, horses, chickens and, of course, the little critters we take care of here at the clinic. Jackie lives at home with her two old pups, Ginger and Ash, as well as a new feline friend, 2 year old Lester. She also currently helps out on a beef cattle farm when she is not at the clinic. In her spare time she also enjoys being outside as much as possible kayaking, fishing, boating and hiking. She looks forward to meeting everyone and their furry family members!

Linda grew up in Montgomery County where she met and married her husband Bruce. They have 3 sons and one grandson. They lived in Arizona for 30 years before moving back to PA where they now live with their dog, 5 cats and one horse. In her spare time, Linda enjoys spenting time with her family, traveling, reading, camping, gardening, snowmobiling and crafting.

Orion is a graduate of Penn State and a current Veterinary student at Kansas State. He is a proud cat dad of 3! He also has a dog and a ferret.
When he isnt spending time with his pets, he enjoys hiking, working out, and visiting coffee shops with his girlfriend.

Paige is currently a Senior at Tulpehocken High School.
She has 2 Dobermans named Dozer and Diesel.
She plays piano and has been taking lessons for two years!
She enjoys playing outdoors with her dogs in her spare time!
Paige is the Practice Manager of Bernville Veterinary Clinic. She first joined the clinic in 2001, starting as a technician. Paige graduated high school from Spring Ford in Royersford and attended Harcum College for Animal Welfare and Equine Studies. She attended Ursinus College for a one-year course in business and accounting. She has also attended numerous seminars around the country for security and personnel management.
Paige lives in the Oley Valley, Berks County with her husband and best friend, Randy, son, Jacob, Horse "Dusti" , 3 dogs, Norman, Gunner & Scruffy ,2 cats, Linus & Dolly, and a freshwater aquarium full of fish. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding ,camping, working outdoors, boating, and snowmobiling.
