After much community research and design mahi, we have created an exciting logo and visual identity for the school, reflecting our kaupapa, values and what the school stands for today... Welcome to Birkenhead Primary School, Te Kura Matarae o Onewa, which sits in the heart of Birkenhead's Highbury Village. Our school's vision is to "grow active learners who make a positive difference". We provide a great learning environment, with wonderful teachers, and a range of opportunities for children to participate, to contribute, to take responsibility and to challenge themselves. We offer a full curriculum, with strong tuition in numeracy and literacy, an Inquiry approach in Social Science and Science, and opportunities in physical activity and the Arts. ​
