Bruce Boake

Bruce passed his qualifying examination in 1997 and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. Bruce completed his articles at Wackrill Poole, a medium sized practice, and contributes to the practice immensely with his wide experience in the auditing of medium size companies and owner businesses. Bruce is married to Annette, and they are the proud parents of two daughters and two sons. He played professional football for Wits University. He is a good golfer, a keen distance runner and takes part in Iron Man. Bruce serves as a board member of St Benedict's College in Bedfordview.

Donovan Fraser

Donovan passed the final qualifying exam in 2005 and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. He joined Boake Incorporated in January 2003 where he completed his articles in 2006. With experience in the auditing of medium size businesses, his expertise lies in valuations as well as consulting. Donovan became a partner of the firm in 2009 and is a valuable member of Boake Incorporated. He enjoys spending his free time travelling as well as competing in marathons around the world. He is a member of the Bedfordview Running Club and participates in the Comrades Marathon and Iron Man

Douglas Boake

Douglas is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and served on the Disciplinary Committee. Douglas is married to Lynne, and they have four sons. Two of his sons followed closely in his footsteps as Chartered Accountants and are partners in the practice. His other two sons are Industrial Engineers, and are based in Birmingham and New York respectively. Douglas has remained in close contact with clients of the practice and specialises in Estate, Trust Administration and Personal Financial Services.

Elda-Louise van Zyl

Elda-Louise passed her B Compt (Hons) in 2004. In 2002 she joined Boake Incorporated, after serving a part of her training contract at a big four firm and completed her training contract during 2003. She has extended experience in auditing of medium size businesses. However her passion lies within preparation of financial statements, solving complex issues and further enjoys accounting and tax consulting. In her free time she loves reading, painting, spending time with family and friends and enjoys classical music.

Graeme Boake

Graeme passed the final qualifying exam in 1993 and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. He completed his articles and added two years of invaluable experience at KPMG - one of the big four practices in the world. Graeme has considerable experience in the auditing of public companies and medium size businesses. His particular expertise is in auditing, taxation and the design and implementation of accounting systems which have proven to be an invaluable asset to many of our clients. Graeme is married to Monique, and they have two daughters and a son. He plays tennis, squash, golf and is a keen runner. He is currently the Chairman of the Bedfordview Country Club and is a board member of the EMEA Region of BKR International.

Gulam Rahim

Gulam qualified as an ACCA member in 2013. He joined Boake Incorporated in January 2000 where he completed his articles.

Sharon Barrow

Job Titles:
  • Accounting Manager
Sharon started her career in the banking sector. She subsequently joined a property company, where she advanced to Assistant Accountant. Thereafter she was employed by a medium size auditing firm where her skills were broadened from accounting to auditing, handling all aspects of audit assignments. She joined Boake Inc. in 2013 and has found her niche in the firm, utilising her multifaceted expertise and applying her professional judgement and knowledge. She works side by side with her clients and colleagues, attending to solutions and compliance that ensure their diverse needs. She is a mother of 4 all who have accomplished degrees in their fields. Her interests are horse riding, Nia dancing and working hard to improve her golfing handicap.
