DISCALCED CARMELITES KARNATAKA GOA PROVINCE

We believe in discovering new life following God's path. Our goal is to help people discover themselves in God's way... We also believe in helping people to develop as who God made them to be and find the true essence of life... "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to the whole creation" (Mk. 16: 15). This is the mission Jesus entrusted to his disciples before he returned to his heavenly Father after accomplishing the mission that the Father entrusted to him. Since then, by the power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus has been building his Church with a missionary nature as Pope St. John Paul II and the Second Vatican Council have reiterated. When the time was ripe, the Karnataka-Goa (KG) Province responded to the need of the hour to work in Tanzania in East Africa. The tiny seed that was first planted in 1983 has now grown into a tree that is bearing much fruit, to the great joy and satisfaction of the pioneers of this Carmelite mission.
