With 30+ years of experience in the interior construction world, Adam is well versed in every aspect of the trades that make your project a success. He has the creativity to work around field conditions, while maintain design integrity.
Graduating from Purdue University in 2020, Casey began his construction career in Arizona working as a field engineer on a semi-conductor manufacturing plant. He worked heavily with process piping and structural steel while managing many other disciplines. He then transitioned to the office side where he began to learn the "behind the scenes" process of construction on a pharmaceutical campus. Casey is motivated, efficient and only has one goal in mind, keeping the client happy.
Before college, Casey wanted to be a firefighter for the City of Chicago as he has always had a knack for helping others.
Dave is highly experienced in the construction and renovation of office buildings, warehouse, manufacturing, health care facilities, hospitals, schools, high-rise residential, retail, hotels, airports, single family homes, ADA accessible housing, & restaurants. His background at previous companies afforded him the opportunity to manage multi-million dollar projects, both locally and abroad.
Dave has played a role in every aspect of construction: from Carpenter to Project Manager, and every step along the way.
Dave volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, Tri-Town YMCA and, is a past governor of the Loyal Order of Moose, Downers Grove Lodge 1535.
Denny has been with CDI since 2014 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Colorado State University. He has a passion for construction and problem solving, and he enters each project with the clients' end product in mind. Denny is accountable for project success and client satisfaction from pre-construction to closeout.
Denny has played hockey competitively since he was 10 years old. In college, he was also involved with the rugby union as the lock and jumper. Currently, outside of CDI, he can be found fixing his old trucks and tractors.
Jeff purchased CDI in January 2022, after having worked with CDI as a client for the previous 18 years.
Jeff has spent his entire career in some facet of real estate and construction. He began working as a building stationary engineer, and quickly grew to a regional director of engineering. He continued his development as a real estate professional with Prentiss Properties, and became an integral part of their deal making team. In 2007, Jeff joined Colliers International as Director of Capital. Jeff's unique understanding of both the financial and physical components of every deal makes his counsel highly sought after by clients and other team members. Jeff has executed hundreds of millions of dollars of building and tenant improvements over the course of his career.
John has spent the last thirty years in the architectural, development and general contracting fields; with his last 15 years being a valuable asset to CDI. John started his career in architecture. He ran design development projects for general office, medical office and industrial warehouse spaces. The architectural experience set him on a path to work for a local developer, where he oversaw all of the ground up construction and tenant work for medical office buildings.
His experience, from both architecture and commercial development work, made for a seamless transition into general contracting, and helped shape the way he's been servicing our clients since 2008.
John and his wife have raised four children and three dogs. Now that the kids are all grown, they are starting to appreciate his vast collection of dad jokes.
Julie has worked for small businesses her entire career, including previous experience with a residential general contractor and in the landscape industry and manufacturing. She especially enjoys the variety of wearing many hats when working with small companies.
Julie has a passion for service, whether that's working with clients, vendors, or her fellow employees. She believes that when others are treated well, they respond in kind.
Laurie started her career as a CPA, working for KPMG. After a few years in the tax department specializing in small businesses, she knew that she wanted to eventually run her own company. In 1992, following a 5 year stint at Rubloff, Inc. as both a financial analyst and commercial property manager, Laurie started the predecessor company to CDI ( Catalyst Construction.)
Laurie sold the company to Jeff Schneider in January 2022, but remains actively involved in all aspects of CDI Construction - from project management to working with the subcontractors directly. Her commitment to providing excellent service to all clients is exceptional.
Marlene has been in the construction industry for over 20 years as an estimator. She specializes in Interior tenant improvement projects, but also has experience in estimating ground up construction. Her attention to detail helps her clients understand the aspects of their project. At CDI Construction she is taking her career one step further with the transition into Project Management.
