Allen L. Dahl

Dr. Al Dahl has enjoyed practicing veterinary medicine since returning to his hometown in 1997 to establish Clarksville Veterinary Clinic. Following graduation from Bluestone High school, he completed undergraduate studies and earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1995, both from Virginia Tech. Dr. Dahl has been in private practice since graduation with an emphasis in orthopedic surgery. He utilizies techniques such as hybrid external fixation, dynamic compression plates, and traditional rod/screw implant stabilization to achieve proper bone healing for orthopedic patients. He has completed advanced training in fracture repair techniques. He is a member of several professional organizations, including state and national Veterinary Medical Associations. His other areas of interest include medical informatics and incorporating digital medical technologies into the practice. Dr. Dahl has established the use of state-of-the-art digital instrumentation and computerized medical records to enhance patient care at Clarksville Veterinary Clinic.

Andrea B. Redd

Dr. Andrea Redd joined Clarksville Veterinary Clinic in May of 2006. Following graduation from West Forsyth High School in Winston-Salem, NC, she attended North Carolina State University where she completed undergraduate studies, graduated Cum Laude, and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology/Pre-Veterinary Medicine in 1993. She attended North Carolina University-College of Veterinary Medicine for post-graduate veterinary studies and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from NCSU-CVM in June of 1997. Dr. Redd has been in private mixed animal practice since graduation from veterinary school, and has experience in both relief and emergency veterinary medicine. She is a member of both the Virginia and North Carolina Veterinary Medical Associations, as well as the national AVMA. Her special interests include cardiology, using advanced technology such as echocardiography and electrocardiography, and exotic animal medicine. Dr. Redd also had an article published in Veterinary Economics magazine and a story published in Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul book. She lives in Clarksville, VA with her husband and two sons.

Anthony Garby

Dr. Garby joined our clinic in the summer of 2023. He is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science and Animal Biology. He earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine also from the University of Florida. Since graduating from veterinary school, he has been in private mixed animal practice with experience in both relief and primary care. His special interests include dermatology, preventive care, shelter medicine and reproduction.
