CLOUD K-9 - Key Persons
Claren is a certified professional dog trainer knowledge assessed (CPDT-KA) and a certified behavior consultant canine knowledge assessed (CBCC-KA) through the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). Claren has completed her Fear Free Trainer Certification through Fear Free Pets and is a Certified Dog Bite Prevention Educator. She is also a distinguished graduate from New Mexico State University where she completed her Bachelor degree in Animal Science with an emphasis in Companion Animals. Before starting Cloud K-9 Claren worked at a veterinary clinic in Corrales, NM and was a trainer at Petco. While at Petco Claren became a dog training mentor and received her AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator certification. Claren is also Pet First Aid and CPR certified.
Eric has his Bachelor's of Business in Economics from New Mexico State University. Eric works well with large to giant breeds and dogs with concerns about men. Eric has extensive experience with shelter dogs and helping them create a bond with their new owners. Claren and Eric both have been active volunteers at the Animal Services Center of Mesilla Valley (ASCMV) helping to train volunteers how to properly walk the medium to large breed dogs and helping the volunteers understand dog body language. In working with the shelter Claren and Eric hope to help the dog's become more adoptable and stay in their forever homes once adopted. Eric is also a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.
