Clinton Ivey

Clinton Ivey of Waterbury CT passed away on Saturday November 11, 2023. He was born October 23, 1937 in Messina GA to Clara Ivey & Howard Dorsey. Clint was married to Sara Ivey for over 40 years. They traveled to many places together. Clint worked at Ansonia Copper & Brass for over 40 years. In his retired years he liked to go fishing, hunting, and watch sports (Mets & Dallas Cowboys were his favorite teams). He also enjoyed hanging with the guys at McDonalds (The McDonalds crew as his wife called them). Clint is survived by his wife Sara Ivey. His two sons Darrell (Annie) Ivey of NY, Kenneth (Annette) Ivey of CT. One daughter Cassandra Ivey of NY. Eight Grandchildren & three Great Grandchildren, Two brothers Larry Wiley & Joseph Wiley, both of GA. Three sisters Rosie (BaBa) Wiley, Joyce Ann Wiley, Bertha Wiley, all of GA. A special nephew Leo (Yolanda) Willis of CT. Several nieces, nephews, cousins & a host of friends. Clinton was predeceased by his parents Clara Wiley & Howard Dorsey. Four brothers, Linton Ivey, Willie Hill, Fleming Dorsey & Howard Dorsey. Two sisters, Louise Clark & Ernestine Wiley.

Leon Jay Johnson

Leon Jay Johnson passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Saturday November 25 th, 2023. Leon was married to EddieMae Johnson for 60 years. He was born August 10 th, 1940, in Baltimore, MD. He was the son of the late David Johnson Sr, and Bertha Prince Johnson. Leon graduated from Crosby High School and upon graduation he enlisted into the Armed Forces serving in the Army until he was honorably discharged, at which time he entered the Automotive Industry and worked in that field for over 40 years. If anyone had a question about cars, Leon was the one to call. He loved helping any and everyone. After his retirement from the automotive industry, he went on to work as a driver, transporting children to school at various locations throughout the state. He always had something pleasant to say about everyone he came in contact with. Leon was loved by all who knew him, and if you asked anything of him, he never said "no", it was always "I will be right there". He served as a bonus Father to many. He loved his New York Giants, and he made sure to arrange his schedule according to when they would be playing. He enjoyed watching the New York Mets baseball team, as well as the UCONN men and women's basketball teams. Leon also had a passion for bowling, in which he served in several leagues in Wolcott as well as Waterbury, CT. Throughout his bowling career, The United States Bowling Congress recog nized and awarded Leon rings for achieving two perfect games. Golf ing was also a passion for Leon. He served in the Long Drivers' League for many years, and was ready to play whenever he could, until he was no longer able to. In addition, he also enjoyed hunting and visiting the shooting range with his brother Charles. While at home, you knew where to find Leon, he was always in the cellar or the garage "tinkering" on anything that he could find. If he was not "tinkering" he is watching his favorite Western shows. Besides his loving and devoted wife, EddieMae, he leaves to cherish his memory, his son Corey (Stephanie) Johnson of West Virg inia, his daughter Terri L. Johnson, Waterbury, CT., One Grandson Kyle D. Johnson, and two great grandchildren, Madalynn and Robert of West Virgin ia. A brother Charles (Mary) Johnson, Prospect CT. Three Sister in laws, Annie (Ghee)Owens, Waterbury. CT., Shirley P. Robinson, New Haven, CT. Mary (Rudolph) Win dsor,Chester PA. Ms. Tiffany Lakia James

Ms. Tiffany Lakia James, 40, of Waterbury, CT passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Hartford Hospital on October 26 th, 2023. She was born on July 20 th, 1983, in Waterbury, CT. Tiffany was the daughter of Carla Montaque and the late Robert James Sr. She attended the Waterbury public school system for Elementary and Middle school. She obtained her high school diploma at Kaynor Tech where she learned culinary as a trade. Tiffany continued her education at Post University. She was a hard worker who worked for many years at Stop and Shop, Walmart, and as a home healthcare worker through Allied Community Resources. Tiffany was a people person who was loved by many. She was a member of the Zion Baptist Church, where she sang in the young people's choir. Tiffany loved her family, especially her niece Makayla and nephew Dale Jr. If you knew Tiffany than you would know she loved her music, she was extremely Tech savvy (she could fix anything that involved electronics), she loved her T.V shows (Golden girls, Wayans Brothers, Martin, Law & order, Criminal minds, and Living Single), she loved sightseeing, and traveling. Tiffany played a huge part in participating and volunteering her services at the annual Oleskool community cookout at Lakewood Park. Tiffany was known to be a comedian in the family, she could impersonate anyone. Although her laugh was contagious, her smile would light up the room. She had a heart of gold which consisted of her being selfless and always putting others before herself. She was a special human being whose presence will be missed dearly. She leaves to mourn her memory; her devoted mother Carla Montaque, her stepfather Ervin Montaque Sr., 3 sisters Stacia Montaque of Watertown, CT, Danielle James of Latham NY, and Sandra James of Rensselaer NY, 4 brothers Ervin Montaque Jr. of Cape Coral Florida, Dexter (Diane) James of Hudson OH, Robert (Kristy) James Jr. of Conway SC, Thomas (Rebecca) James of Myrtle Beach SC, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. She is predeceased by her maternal grandmother Beatrice Ireland, maternal grandfather John Pope, uncle Kelvin Sandelin, uncle Nathaniel Pope, uncle Ervin Sands, her father Robert James Sr., paternal grandmother Margaret James, paternal grandfather Bradley James, aunt Wilhelmina James, uncle Alfred James, uncle Otis James, and uncle James (Scooter) James. A Celebration of Tiffany's life will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 11am, at Zion Baptist Church, 137 Pearl Street, Waterbury CT. Viewing in Church from 10-11am.
