Founded in later 1970s, the Southeastern Connecticut Chinese School (SCCS) started in a local public library by a small group of parents from fifteen families. Today, SCCS is located in East Lyme High School. It has grown into a well-established non-profit educational organization of 40 faculties and staffs servicing more than 300 students from surrounding areas including New London, Norwich, New Haven and Rhode Island...
SCCS offers more than 40 classes focusing on oversea Chinese language and culture education, and covering diversified educational areas including technology, art, music, and more. The school also provides many supporting programs such as annual talent show, Chinese speech contest, etc...
SCCS offers multiple development programs including Diversified Scholarship to selected local high school students every year, in-house Voluntary Teaching Assistant Program, Student Leadership Program, and Community Outreach.
