Carolyne is a passionate and dedicated Dental Hygienist with 18 years of experience in preventative oral health care, graduating with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2005 at Curtin University of WA.
Carolyne is experienced at coordinating and carrying out oral health care treatments by providing scaling and cleaning, dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, fissure sealing, diet counselling and general patient oral health education. She is patient focused and dedicated to building long term relationships with patients and colleagues. She is selfless and a hard working team member with a belief that working as a team is the key to a successful practice.
Outside of working in the dental industry, Carolyne is a mother, a grandmother and a les mills RPM fitness instructor.
Dr Elisia Doucas graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Western Australia. During her time at university she was awarded the Sally Joyston-Bechal Study Group Prize. Prior to becoming a dentist, Dr Elisia Doucas had a successful career as a pharmacist, practicing in the northern suburbs of Perth.
Dr Elisia Doucas has spent time in the Kimberley region, providing volunteer dental treatment in remote communities with the Kimberley Dental Team and has participated in providing dental care for homeless members of the Perth community. Dr Elisia Doucas has experience in providing dental care for patients who suffer dental anxiety, and has a relaxed, personalised and caring approach.
Dr Elisia Doucas started practicing at Doucas Dental at the end of 2015 and has already gained a good rapport with our existing patients and new patients. She is a mother herself and has a passion for treating children.
Dr Gregory Doucas graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1975 and then re-located to Perth to join the practice of Dr Ray Owen and Dr Peter Gregory in Midland. From there he eventually purchased and moved the practice to its current location. In that time Dr Doucas has become well known in the local community of Midland, establishing himself as a highly qualified and reputable dentist whilst committing to long standing relationships with his patients.
Dr Doucas is an active and long standing member of the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Society of Endodontology, the Australian Society of Periodontology, the Australian Prosthodontic Society, the Australian Osseo-Integration Society, the Dental Study Group of WA and part of the fellowship of the International Team of Implantology.
As a highly commendable clinical tutor, Dr Doucas previously taught final year dental students at the Oral Health Centre of the University of Western Australia (OHCWA) since 1996. With the high involvement that Dr Doucas had at OHCWA he encouraged and invited his students to perform the practical unit of their degree at his surgery, and here the students were able to oversee the day to day practice of Dr Doucas treating his patients.
Dr Doucas has always had a passion for dentistry and a personal commitment to continuing education in dentistry in order to improve his skills and to enable him to provide a diverse range of treatment options. Dr Doucas prides himself in delivering the latest dental technology to service the needs of his patients with the most up-to-date and cutting edge innovations available.
Dr Syed Faisal is new to the Midland area and commenced with Doucas Dental in December 2023, however he also operates around Perth metro and regional areas.
He has been awarded Australian Dental Council Certification from Melbourne. He received his post graduate certification in Asethetic Dentistry from State University of New York, Buffalo and Masters in Laser Dentistry from University Of Gothenburg, Austria. He has worked in many dental practices while managing them at the same time for over 21 years now.
Dr Faisal‘s expertise lies in all areas of dental oral surgery. His special interests include dental implant placement and surgery, all-on-four dental implant, full mouth rehabilitation, wisdom teeth removal, and any other types of extractions and surgery that require general anaesthesia. His passion lies in providing pain-free dentistry to his patients.
Dr Faisal tries to keep his practice working environment as friendly and warm to everyone and enjoys sharing the odd joke with his patients. He has a straightforward, no-nonsense approach to dentistry and is a firm believer in the concept of doing it right the first time. He strongly feels that there is no substitute for quality when it comes down to the aesthetic and longevity of his dental work.
Outside of dentistry, he is an avid swimmer. He also enjoys reading a variety of books in his spare time and continuing his dental education by regularly completing international courses to increase his knowledge and expertise in oral surgery and implant surgery.
