Fellowship is governed through the Biblical practice of "Elder Governance." The Scriptures teach that elders are responsible for the health and direction of the church. The spiritual qualifications for elders are found in I Timothy 3:1-16 and Titus 1:5-9. Elders are nominated by members of the church and then nominees are prayerfully chosen by the existing Elder Board to be presented as elder candidates to the church body. Each candidate must receive 100% affirmation from our church family before being presented as a new elder. Each elder serves a term of approximately five years. According to the apostle Paul, the local church assembly was to recognize those who were spiritually qualified for church leadership. These individuals were then to minister to the church by godly service and rule. Our Elder Board provides directional leadership which is then implemented by staff and core leadership.
