My name is Adrian Lucio and I am the new Director of Student Ministries. I am so excited to be serving here at First Methodist Conroe and can't wait to see God at work in the hearts of our teenagers.
I'm originally from the Rio Grande Valley, and later moved to San Antonio, TX to pursue a career as a Stand-Up Comedian. In 2012 I got signed professionally and traveled the world, bringing humor and joy to those who needed it. After my contract ended in 2015, I decided it was time for a new calling, Youth Ministry.
I started working as a Youth Director at Helotes Hills UMC and instantly felt at home! Since then, I have served full time at FUMC Palestine, and Coker UMC.

Amy began working as our Nursery Director at FMC in November 2015. Amy has an older sister and a younger brother. Both of them help out in the Nursery along with their mom. Amy enjoys listening to music, going to concerts, playing video games, and having game nights. She loves getting to spend time with the youngest members of our congregation and being able to see their relationship with God blossom.
Angela joined our Music Ministry and church family in April of 2018, having served churches as choir director and organist since her college days. In fact, her entire career has been teaching in schools and churches. Angela is a retired (after 40 years) Conroe ISD music teacher and high school choral director. Angela completed undergraduate work at Baylor University and the University of Arkansas and Master's Degrees from Sam Houston State University. Angela's husband, Bill Rivera, passed away in 2016. She hopes to continue serving God through her music for many years to come.

Beth began teaching at Methodist Day School in 2015 and is now excited to become the new MDS Director. She has experience teaching primary grades and High School, as well as Special Education. Beth grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and moved to Texas with her husband in 2004. They have a daughter, Ava, who is a sophomore; and a son, Connor, who is in 6th grade. Connor attended the Day School, which is where Beth grew to love the school. Beth and her husband, Bryan, stay busy while attending many extracurricular activities such as choir, drill team, hockey, and golf! She feels very blessed to be a part of this ministry of the church, and cannot wait to share God's love with all of our families.

Courtney has been a member of the church since 2019 when she moved to Montgomery. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University and currently works part-time for Houston Methodist as a sports and orthopedic physical therapist. She and her husband spend most of their energy raising their three young and adventurous boys. They have a family goal to visit every national park together and enjoy camping, hiking, a variety of sports, and spending time outdoors. Courtney has always had a passion for children and their development, whether she is the baseball team mom or serving on the MDS School Board and Parent Association. Courtney looks forward to working in the Children's Ministry and views it as a wonderful opportunity and responsibility to help our youth foster a loving relationship with God and share that love with others.

Craig began his twelfth year at FMC in Fall 2020 and knows with certainty God called him here. Before serving First Conroe, he led ministries at many other churches (near and far) along a path always connected to his faith. His free time is mostly about family, being the favorite uncle to nieces and nephews, however, he can always make time for great food! "It is a blessing and a joy to be in the midst of this congregation."
Daniel began his tenure as our Senior Pastor in July 2020 after having previously served FUMC Huntsville and Memorial Drive UMC in Houston. Daniel is married to Jean and has twin daughters and a son who keep him busy and supplied with sermon illustrations. Daniel enjoys running, reading, playing golf, guitar, and the occasional video game. He is passionate about helping people see their story as a part of God's story through the Bible and looks forward to seeing what God will do through the people of First Methodist Conroe.
John Wayne is serving as the Executive Pastor at FMC and also planting a new worshipping community in The Woodlands Hills development in Willis. Before serving here he was lead pastor of Vine Worship at Kingwood UMC for six years and lead pastor of Core Worship at Marvin UMC for two years. John Wayne is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary (MDiv, 2016) and United Theological Seminary (DMin, 2022). John Wayne is married to Lauren and they have three kids; Luke, Rylie, and James. In his free time, he loves to read, run, golf, and play with the kids. John Wayne's story includes growing up in the church but not really following Christ until Jesus, through the local church, brought awakening in his life. Now his passion is to help people to wake up to life in Christ.
Gerson began serving FMC in 2009 by helping the Spanish congregation with worship music every Sunday morning while teaching the youth how to play instruments. After a year, the youth were leading worship as a band. After this Gerson left for Florida to study Show Production and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Science. In 2014, Gerson was hired full-time as the new Media Director for FMC. Gerson enjoys playing his guitar, eating steak, traveling, and loves his team here at FMC. He finds passion in his work, spiritual growth, and experiences.
Jean Irving has served as our Children's Director since December 2020. Jean is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and has taught for a total of seven years, teaching middle school English in North Carolina, Katy, Texas, and here in Conroe. She also served as the Women's Ministry Director at Memorial Drive UMC in Houston for seven years. Jean is married to Daniel and has twin daughters and a son who are the light of her life! Jean enjoys cooking, traveling, working out, interior design and anything that involves music. She loves spending time with family and friends, hosting gatherings and parties (pre-Covid, of course!), eating lots of Mexican food, and watching movies and tv shows with her family. Jean loves the church and finding ways to serve God and lead others in their faith journey.
First Methodist Conroe has been an important part of Karen's life. Karen was baptized, attended the Day School program, went to Sunday School, did Vacation Bible School, completed her Confirmation, taught Sunday School, got married, and is now working at First Methodist Conroe. Karen feels blessed for the opportunity to give back and serve at First Methodist Conroe. Karen enjoy spending time with family, watching television, eating, and relaxing.

Kathy has had the joy and privilege of being a part of FMC's Methodist Day School for 30 years. She started as a teacher and currently serves as Assistant Director. Kathy is married to her husband, Mike. They have three grown children and four grandchildren. Kathy enjoys spending time with her family and time outdoors. She loves being a part of Methodist Day School and the opportunities this ministry has provided to meet so many wonderful families and their children.

Kellie has spent her life in the Methodist Church, beginning with her membership as a child at Asbury UMC in Pasadena to her current membership at FM Conroe. From spending her summers at Lakeview as a camper and choir student, to serving in various ministries here in Conroe as an adult, Kellie has always had a connection to the church . She has also spent time living overseas in minority Christian countries and understands the plight of Christians in a place where Christianity is an outlier. She has felt called to serve in various capacities including: Chairman of Family Life Ministry, Board of Stewards, Day School Board, and Keep Us Fed. One of the most rewarding parts of her journey has been watching her own children experience the church in the same joyful way that she has.

Hello everyone! My name is Maggie McInnis, and I joined the Music Ministry in August of 2020 as a choir intern. In July of 2021, I joined the Children's choir team as an assistant to the Children's Choir Directors. Starting May 2022, I will also serve as an assistant to the Music Director and Business Manager. I am a TWHS Class of 2019 graduate and currently studying Choral Music Education at Sam Houston State University. I am graduating Spring 2023 and hopefully will be working as a choir director or music teacher in the Conroe area afterwards!

Natasha Millan grew up, for the most part, in the southwest corner of Kansas. She graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Science degree. Natasha worked in the banking industry for several years in Kansas City before her husband's company transferred them to Texas, where they have made their home in Conroe for the past 9 years. Natasha and her husband, Juan, have two children: Isaac, a junior at Conroe High School, and Marissa, a seventh grader, at Stockton Junior High. Since moving to Conroe, she has served as Treasurer for several of her children's schools PTA/PTO's. Isaac and Marissa keep Natasha and Juan very busy with band, baseball, soccer, and volleyball. During her spare time, Natasha loves to read, visit art festivals, and museums.
Ever since I graduated in 2004 from Audio/Video school, I have been working mixing audio in concerts and corporate events. Here at FMC I have been mixing Sunday services since 2017 and I am now helping as a Media Assistant, as well. I'm passionate about what I do and love every aspect of it. I love to spend time with my two boys and wife. I love sports in general but I'm a basketball fanatic, absolutely love music, enjoy to play my guitar, and be in nature.
Ramon began working at FMC since 1990. He is married to Esperanza and has two daughters and a son who will be coming soon from El Salvador. Ramon likes to play soccer and golf.
Elizabeth was received as an associate pastor at FMC in June 2018. Her main task is working with the Hispanic congregation, where 10 different nationalities speak Spanish, each with their customs and traditions. Elizabeth is married to Frank, and they have a little three-year-old boy named Josue. She loves to spend her free time making flower arrangements; she enjoys watching reality shows about home interior designs and decorations. Her passion is to teach the incredible love of God in a multicultural context.
Frank came into FMC's life in June 2018 to work as an associate pastor with a major focus on the Hispanic Community. Frank is married to Elizabeth, and they have a beautiful child: Josue, who is their joy and pride. Frank likes to play chess, soccer, and baseball. His favorite movie is "A Beautiful Mind." His passion is to preach the gospel and bring people to the feet of Christ. Empathy is something that defines his ministry as pastor of the Conroe Hispanic Community.
Janet Stilwell has been an associate pastor at First Methodist Conroe since 2008. She currently works in the area of compassion and justice helping with pastoral care and working to encourage service in the community. She serves as a board member for the Community Assistance Center and has also served as a chair on the distribution committee of the Montgomery County Community Foundation. Janet also serves are the Chair of the Committee on Christian Unity and Inter-religious Concerns of the Texas Annual Conference. She and her husband, James have been married 28 years and have two beautiful daughters in college. Janet's ministry and purpose is defined by the possibility of bringing people into a closer relationship with God through the experience of service, prayer, and community.

Richard "Rique" became the Director of Modern Worship at FMC in December of 2019. He is passionate about bringing people into the presence of the lord and seeing them made whole in His presence. Rique serves as Worship Director and part of the Communications Team as a Digital Strategist as of November 2020. This work melds his love for bringing people into God's presence with his love for technology and the ever-advancing digital world. In his free time, Rique enjoys playing soccer with his son Rallen, and wife Hannah. They often enjoy the outdoors with biking, walking, hiking, and traveling. And it must be mentioned that he LOVES coffee!

Ruth Ann has been a member of FMC since September 2001. At that time, she began serving as the Director of Children's Ministry for six years and then later returned in January 2012 to serve with our youth as the Director of Student Ministries. She enjoys helping our youth grow in their faith through Bible study, summer camp, mission trips, and more. Ruth Ann also has a passion for teaching music to young children. She has been a part of the Children's Music Ministry leading one of the choirs since 2001. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Stephen, and they have one daughter, Hannah, who is a middle school teacher and coach. Ruth Ann enjoys singing, ringing handbells, reading, and rooting for her daughter's teams. Her favorite Bible verse that she shares with the youth is from 1 Timothy 4:12 - Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.

Ruth Noemi Vega was born and raised in Puerto Rico but God brought her and her husband Daniel to Tx in 2006 to serve His people in a multicultural environment. She has served as the Director of Worship for the Hispanic Ministry Celebracion since 2020 and in 2021 she joined the Modern worship team as Co-Worship Leader. Her passion for music began at an early age and since then she has dedicated her talents to the Lord. As a worshiper she is passionate about being in the presence of God and helping others develop a deeper relationship with Him. Ruth enjoys watching movies, listening to music, sharing a good cup of coffee with friends, and she loves to travel.
Sarah joined the church staff in March 2021 but you may recognize her from her volunteering roles around the church. She enjoyed working in the Children's Ministry as a small group leader for the second and third graders and is currently a substitute small group leader. Sarah loves her time spent in FMC's Café serving delicious coffee, hot chocolate, and donuts. She invites you to come volunteer with her and says, "the café is a great place to meet the church!" Sarah enjoys participating in Bible studies and has facilitated Disciple and Companion in Christ studies here at FMC. In her downtime, Sarah enjoys reading a variety of literature, creating and appreciating art, and she loves to travel.
Tommi moved to the Lake Conroe area in the summer of 2015 and began working as a Children's Choir Director at FMC almost immediately. Soon after, she took on the role of Director of Hospitality. Since then she has started a Beginner Handbell Choir and a Summer Music Camp within the Children's Music Ministry program. Before coming to FMC, Tommi previously served as the Director of Music Ministries at Grand Lakes Presbyterian in Katy, TX; FUMC in Rosenberg, TX; West Des Moines (IA) Christian; First Presbyterian in Sanford, NC; Emerald Ave. Methodist in Knoxville, TN; Prosper United Methodist in Prosper, TX; and First Presbyterian in Franklin, KY. She is married to Bob and has two children, Derek and Dagny. Tommi enjoys reading, cooking, being with people, doing anything musical, and is a Bible study-aholic.
