Dr. Bruce Nguyen

Dr. Bruce Nguyen is an established and highly skilled optometrist with many years of experience in specialty contact lenses including multifocal, scleral, and Ortho-K contact lenses. Prior to his optometric calling, Dr. Nguyen served in the U.S. Navy for 5 years, including a 2 years tour in Atsugi Kichi, Japan. After his military service, he attended the University of California in Irvine and graduated magna cum laude in 2005. He earned his optometry degree at Southern California College of Optometry in 2011, graduating magna cum laude. In October 2012, he founded Clairemont Optometry - a fast-growing Ortho-K optometry practice - with the focus on providing the best care possible for his pediatric contact lenses wearers. In addition to his private practice, he serves as the Ortho-K Clinic director at Optom-Eyes Vision Care, a large, multi-locations optometric organization providing eye care and Ortho-K services to more than half of the population of Imperial Valley region of California. Dr Nguyen takes great pride in his commitment to provide his patients with excellent eye care, especially in the area of myopia control for young children through the use of pediatric overnight contact lenses known as Ortho-K contact lenses. Dr. Nguyen's passion in his specialty of Ortho-K technology, also known as Corneal Refractive Therapy, is driven by the bonds he builds with his young patients over the course of their lives and the enjoyment he holds in keeping their eyes' healthy, low-numbered, and well. In his spare time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys gardening and taking care of his family.

Dr. Henry Lin

Dr. Henry Lin, O.D. provides primary eye and contact lens examinations for all ages at the El Centro & San Diego offices. He also diagnoses, treats, and manages ocular diseases. Dr. Lin is also certified in corneal refractive therapy, a non-invasive procedure designed to slow down near sighted progression in children. He graduated in 1996 from the University of California, at San Diego with a major in Biochemistry and a minor in Psychology. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry in 2000. Dr. Lin spent his internship training at Nellis Air Force base in Las Vegas, NV, the Veteran's Administration in West Los Angeles, CA, and the Center for Partially Sighted at Santa Monica, CA. He also served in the United States Navy as an Optometric Naval Officer stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. from 2000-2003. Dr. Lin and Dr. Tam moved to El Centro in 2002, and together, established the first Optom-Eyes Vision Care Optometry in the Imperial Valley. He's currently also overseeing location development and manages OEVC branches in San Diego including branch offices in Mission Valley, Fashion Valley Mall, and the newest location in Imperial Beach.

Dr. KC Lau

Dr. KC Lau provides primary eye and contact lens examinations. He is Glaucoma certified and is able to diagnose, treat, and manage general diseases of the eye and is licensed in the use of therapeutic and pharmacological agents. Dr. Lau is a 1995 graduate of the University of California at San Diego with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA in 1999. He did his clinical internship training at the former Center for the Partially Sighted in Santa Monica, the Optometric Center of Los Angeles, the Optometric Center of Fullerton, and the West Los Angeles Veterans Hospital. Dr. Lau also completed a residency program in Primary Eye Care / Geriatric Optometry at the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Brentwood Division, Los Angeles, CA. After practicing in corporate optometry in the West Los Angeles area for several years, he relocated to the Imperial Valley in the Fall of 2003. Dr. Lau has been with Optom-Eyes Vision Care Optometry since 2004.

Dr. Mary D. Vivirito

Dr. Mary D. Vivirito is an Imperial Valley native who is passionate about serving her community, both in and out of the office! She graduated from UCLA in 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in biology. At UCLA she was a recipient of the Ralph J. Bunche Alumni scholarship through which she participated in different community service projects during college. This experience instilled in her a desire to serve her community in health care. She attended the New England College of Optometry, training at the Perkin's School for the Blind, the VA Medical Center in Portland, OR, South Boston Community Health Center, Basconi Palmer Ete institute in Miami, FL and the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. As a student she helped provide eye exams to those lacking access to health care through mission work in Belize. She graduated with her doctorate of optometry in 2014 as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa's honor society. She completed her residency in 2015 at Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center in Long Beach, CA specializing in Low Vision Rehabilitation and Primary Eye Care. During her residency, Dr. Vivirito was privileged to serve veterans with visual impairments and legal blindness. Serving veterans will always remain a close cause to her heart. She is excited to be back in her community and be part of Optom-Eyes Vision Care Optometry team!
