Kia ora. My name is Anna Murphy. I run the Transition to School programme at Greenmeadows School so work with our newest learners as they start their journey from pre-school to Greenmeadows School. I am also a classroom teacher in our New Entrant room. I love my job and sharing the wonder of learning with children and am especially passionate about learning through play.

I started at Greenmeadows School in February 2014 taking on the role of Office Secretary. Having had an association with Greenmeadows School in the past when my two daughters attended school here, I knew what a fantastic school it was. I am really enjoying my role in the office and look forward to meeting lots of the parents and the wider community.

Hi, my name is Chris Sullivan. I'm really happy to be teaching at Greenmeadows School. I am from Hawkes Bay and am happy to have moved back home after working abroad. My passion is teaching and I love being able to share what I know with students to motivate them in whatever direction they wish to go. I am enthusiastic about music and enjoy teaching guitar and ukulele to the kids. In my spare time, I like to go out fishing and hunting and like spending time in the outdoors. I think Greenmeadows is a fantastic school because it's the kind of place that children learn important core values that will shape the kind of people they become in later life.

I started working as a teacher aide at GMS in 2010 after parent helping in my daughters class and around the school, and some stints filling in for teacher aides on leave. Luckily GMS didn't judge me on my ability to cook sausage rolls for the morning tea shout and five years later here I am still enjoying being part of the GMS team. You will find me almost anywhere throughout the school helping with a range of things. It could be as a general classroom assistance or providing support to specific children with learning or behavioural difficulties. Guiding my group of children working on the computer based Lexia Core 5 reading programme or taking small groups for maths, reading, writing, phonics, talk to learn or social skills. I also enjoy being involved in the ukulele culture at GMS and helping take the students out of school to challenge themselves at activities such as mud runs and triathlons. I love working alongside the children learning from them and watching them progress through their GMS journey.

I've been teaching part time at Greenmeadows School as a classroom release teacher since 2008. I work in all classes in Pohutukawa and Totara Syndicates. I feel fortunate to be able to work with our children regularly as they progress from years 3 through to 6. Teaching art is one of my passions and I love helping children to develop skills and to express themselves creatively. My favourite whakatauki is ‘Mai i te urupa, tatou ako tonu ai' - From the cradle to the grave, we are forever learning. I aim to encourage and support a love of learning in the children I teach and learn alongside.

My name is Leanne Duncan and I am a teacher aide. I recently completed my teacher aide training with the help of Greenmeadows School. Prior to that I was at home with my four children, after many years of working in the print media Industry. I am now lucky enough to be employed by Greenmeadows School and am thoroughly enjoying being here alongside two of my children who currently attend. I am really enthusiastic about working in the classroom supporting the children and teachers in the junior and middle schools and also working closely with children who need extra support.

Kia ora, I really enjoy working here at Greenmeadows School, it's a fantastic place to be. I am passionate about helping children to learn and their enthusiasm is exciting and feeds that passion. I work with children across the school from Year 1 to Year 6. I enjoy the 1 on 1 and small group learning. I am involved in taking that learning into some of their classrooms as well. Over the years I have worked with some of the fantastic programmes our school has to offer - Talk to Learn, ESOL, Language Learning Intervention, Speech, Toe by Toe, phonological programmes, social skills programmes, Lexia reading programme and Special Needs learning. Like any children I work with I love to learn and upgrade my skills and set high standards for myself. Kia Ora, My name is Mahia Isherwood. 2021 is my first year teaching at Greenmeadows SchooI and I am teaching in the Kowhai Syndicate with a Year 2 class full of awesome kids. Teaching is something that I love, and find it hugely rewarding to watch children grow and flourish throughout their learning journey. I am looking forward to my time at GMS as I already feel very much part of the school, and wider community.

My name is Monique Cowie and I am married to Garth and have three adult children and two grand children. I have been teaching for 15 years and five of these were in Invercargill and the rest here in Greenmeadows. I have taught children fom New Entrants to Year 4 and have enjoyed all levels.

My name is Paula Kinsey I am married to Damion and am a mother of two very active and lovely boys, Jared and Nathan.
I started my journey with GMS as a parent helper in my children's classes. Then I became a member of staff working in the office. Both of my children have now left but I love still being part of GMS. I look forward to meeting you and your family

Kia ora. My name is Shona Millner and I have been teaching at Greenmeadows School since 2008. Prior to that I spent 10 years at Nelson Park and 10 years at Eskdale. I have taught all age groups and I love them all. I'm currently teaching reading recovery and another reading programme called Quick 60. I also love taking music and you will find me most lunchtimes working with Kapa Haka, ukulele or choir.
