Caleb Michael Young

Caleb Michael Young is from Lexington, SC, and moved to Rock Hill in 2020. He received his B.S. in Bible with an emphasis in Preaching at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee (‘19). Caleb served as an Associate Minister at the Charlotte Avenue Church of Christ for two years before coming to Greene Funeral Home. In addition, he has served as a minister at congregations in the west Tennessee area and in the Carolinas. He is an active member at the Charlotte Avenue Church of Christ in Rock Hill. He is a Licensed Apprentice Funeral Director with the S.C. Board of Funeral Service.

David L. Waters

David L. Waters, a native of Shelby, North Carolina, is a graduate of Limestone College. Before joining Greene Funeral Home in 1995, he was employed by Duke Power Company for 19 years. David is a licensed Funeral Director with the S.C. Board of Funeral Service and is a licensed Preneed Insurance Consultant. David is a United States Army (Vietnam) veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 34 and the VFW Post 2889. He is married to Lisa Matthews and has a daughter, step-son and four grandchildren.

Eliana Salazar

Eliana Salazar is from Fort Mill, S.C., and moved to Rock Hill, S.C. in 2018 when she got married to Erick Salazar. They have 2 wonderful children together. Eliana is currently enrolled in Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood, S.C. where she is pursuing her Associates Degree in the funeral industry. She joined Greene Funeral Home in 2023 and is currently a licensed Funeral Director Embalmer Apprentice with the South Carolina Board of Funeral Services.

Frank Greene

Frank Greene is a 1981 graduate of Winthrop University. He is a licensed Funeral Director with the S.C. Board of Funeral Service with the designation of CFSP-Certified Funeral Service Practitioner. He is a member of the Kiwanis Club and is married to Linda Blackwell and has two step-daughters and one grandson.

James Allen Fischer, III

James "Jay" Fischer, is a graduate of High Point University where he received a Bachelor of Science Business Administration degree. He is the fourth generation of the Greene family to serve the surrounding community. Jay is a graduate of Leadership York County and is on the Board of Directors of the Young Professionals of York County. He is a Licensed Funeral Director with the South Carolina Board of Funeral Service.

Polly Poag Baker

Polly Poag Baker is native of Rock Hill, SC. She is a graduate of Winthrop University with a BS and MS in Biology. Polly joined Greene Funeral Home in 2021 and is currently a Licensed Apprentice Funeral Director with the S.C. Board of Funeral Service. She is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Polly is married to Eric Baker and they have one daughter.

Steven R. Shehan

Steven Rice Shehan is a Rock Hill native and attended Alverson-Draughton Business College. He has been with Greene Funeral Home since 2002, serving as Interment Coordinator for ten years and Certified Crematory Operator for Greene Cremation Center for nearly 10 years. Steven's greatest blessings are his three children and three grandchildren.

Susan Greene Fischer

Susan Greene Fischer is a 1989 graduate of Winthrop University. She is a licensed Funeral Director with the S.C. Board of Funeral Service and is a licensed Preneed Insurance Consultant. She joined the family business in 1995 and together with her brother, Frank Greene, opened Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, Inc. in 2000. Susan is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She is past president of the Rock Hill Rotary Club, past member of the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce-Rock Hill Area Council, the American Red Cross board of Directors, and the Come-See-Me Board of Directors. Susan is married to Al Fischer, and they have one son, Jay Fischer, who joined the family business in 2018. susangfischer@greenefuneralhome.net

Toy Howard Greene

Toy Howard Greene was nineteen years old in 1926 when W. G. Reid invited him to learn the funeral service trade at his furniture and undertaking establishment. In 1936, Toy and Robert Wolfe of Fort Mill began a partnership and opened Wolfe-Greene Funeral Home. During World War II, Toy was an embalmer for the United States Army. It was during this time that Wolfe and Greene dissolved their partnership. In the late 1940's, Robert Wolfe sold his partnership, and this establishment became known as Todd-Morris Funeral Home. In 1954, Toy bought the business and reopened the establishment at 355 East White Street as Greene Funeral Home. Shortly after opening his funeral home, Donald Greene joined his father. For many years, the funeral home provided ambulance service to York County families. Ruby Faulkenberry Greene, Toy's wife, operated a flower shop in the funeral home which remained in operation until 1990. In 1964, Toy and Ruby's youngest son, Howard "Buddy" Greene, who worked at the Rock Hill U.S. Post Office, joined his father and brother. Buddy's children became the third generation to follow in the funeral service when in 1981, Howard "Frank" Greene came into the business after graduating from Winthrop University. Susan Greene Fischer graduated from Winthrop University in 1989 and joined the family business in 1995. In 2000, Frank and Susan opened the second location, Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel at 2133 Ebenezer Road. In May 2018, Susan's son, James "Jay" Allen Fischer, III, joined the family business. Jay is a Business Administration graduate of High Point University.
