Cliff Westrick

Job Titles:
  • Professional Engineer / Design Team Leader
Having worked in the scaffold & hoisting industry for nearly two decades, Cliff has designed, permitted, and inspected hundreds of projects in New York City, most notably at the Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, Grand Central Station, and Hudson Yards. Cliff also has extensive experience providing scaffolding and other forms of work access for buildings and bridges all over the United States and Canada. Cliff has a Bachelor's degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and holds PE licenses in NY, PA, MD, DC, VA, OR & WA.

Dan Fenelon

Job Titles:
  • Design Team Leader
Dan joined GBL in 2010 after obtaining his AAS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Hudson Valley Community College. His career at GBL has included hands-on fabrication and field experience in addition to his CAD emphasis, including advanced 3D-modeling and rendering. Notable projects include Empire State Building Observatory, 633 Folsom St. (San Francisco), One Vanderbilt Ave., 1271 Avenue of the Americas, UBER Mission Bay (San Francisco), Tower at PNC Plaza (Pittsburgh), The Drew Las Vegas, One Manhattan Square, 111 Murray St., and 520 West 28th Street. Dan is a registered NYC Department of Buildings Rigging Foreman and is in the process of obtaining his Special Rigger's License.

Gregory L. Beeche

Job Titles:
  • Manager
Greg founded his first construction company, an erector of metal deck and wall panel, in 1972. From that foundation he developed his first suspended platform and support carriage system that was patented and included over 50 claims. He proceeded to develop numerous subsequent patented access platform and material lifting systems over the next 40 years. Greg successfully developed numerous unique and innovative systems that revolutionized the building façade construction industry. The systems he has developed not only increase worker productivity, but greatly enhance jobsite safety as well. Greg has developed systems for work on hundreds of prestigious projects around the world including: Burj al Arab in Dubai, National Westminster Bank Tower in London, Tour du Midi Building in Brussels, AT&T Global Olympic Village in Atlanta, Borgata Casino in Atlantic City and the Trump World Tower in New York.

Jamie Kelly

Job Titles:
  • Vice President Permanent Access
Jamie brings to GBL more than 25 years' experience in the temporary access industry. As NYC Branch Manager for the largest scaffold company in the country, he successfully implemented growth strategies leading to "Best of Branch" recognition. In an executive capacity, he has provided scaffolding, tower cranes, mast climbers, and personnel/material hoists within multiple markets. Notable projects include Madison Square Garden, Yankee Stadium, Moynihan Station, 1271 Avenue of The Americas, Grand Central Station, Met III Miami, and Millennium Tower Boston. Jamie received his AAS degree from SUNY Farmingdale and attended the Architectural and Building Sciences program at New York Institute of Technology.

Jason Mitola

Job Titles:
  • Jason Mitola - Design Team Leader
Jason joined GBL in 2008, bringing with him more than 14 years of design, sales, and support experience in the scaffold and engineered access industries as well as the concrete forming and shoring industries. Jason has been involved in many GBL projects, including One57 (formerly Carnegie 57), New York by Gehry (formerly Beekman Tower), Revel Resort and Casino, Three World Trade Center, One Jackson Square, PPC Bruce Mansfield Plant, the Barclays Center, and 432 Park Avenue, NYC. Jason has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Kimberly P. Covert

Job Titles:
  • Office Manager
Kim has 10 years of experience working in the banking industry prior to joining GBL in 2010. Kim utilizes her banking and finance background in managing the accounting and banking functions for GBL. She is responsible for all accounting functions, including interfacing with GBL's CPA firm and bank Business Relationship Managers. She manages office administration and human resources as well. Kim attended The College of St. Rose.

Kirk P. Beeche

Job Titles:
  • Director
Kirk has over 27 years of experience in the suspended access, material handling and scaffold industry. Kirk and Greg worked together for 13 years growing an access and material lifting company that was eventually acquired by a conglomerate. He has experience as a project manager with one of the largest curtain wall designer/manufacturer/erection companies in the United States. Kirk also managed the New Jersey branch of Safway Services, the largest scaffold company in the country. Kirk successfully led the branch growing it to $20 million of revenue. Kirk returned to work with Greg at GBL in 2010. He has overseen work on a number of high profile projects including the Bloomberg Tower, Cira Centre, Seattle Convention Center, Meadowlands Xanadu and the United Nations Secretariat. Kirk received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College in 1985 and attended the MBA program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Paul Hill

Job Titles:
  • Assistant Director
Paul joined GBL in 2004 after working in the civil engineering industry. Paul splits his time between field installation management and office project management. He is involved with most GBL projects including the Bank of America Building (One Bryant Park), Trump Soho (246 Spring St.), New York Presbyterian Hospital's Heart Center & Hospital for Special Surgery, Barnard College, Columbia University, and the A.J. Celebrezze Federal Building. Paul attended Hudson Valley Community College, and is licensed as a New York City Special Rigger.

Shawn Blair

Job Titles:
  • Senior Product Development Manager
Shawn established GBL's engineering department in 2001, following a decade of work as a designer and information manager at various architecture and engineering firms. Shawn primarily coordinates the design of specialized and universal products and systems, as well as the development and implementation of design aids and standards. He has managed and designed complex Work Access systems for many high profile projects including the United Nations Secretariat, One World Trade Center, 220 Central Park South, Goldman Sachs Global Headquarters, the Sony Tower, Weill Cornell Medical College, 1717 Broadway, and One Times Square. Shawn received his bachelor's degrees in Architecture and Building Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1991.

Stephen Lee

Job Titles:
  • Vice President of Rigging Operations
Stephen Lee is extensively licensed to oversee a wide variety of hoisting and rigging operations, including steel erection, welding, machine operation, crane operation, and scaffold erecting and dismantling. As a NYC licensed Master Rigger, he is recognized as a skilled professional in a city with the most stringent crane and rigging regulations in the country. There are fewer than 50 Master Riggers licensed in the City of New York.
