Richard Hallett, owner of Hallett Canvas & Sails, Inc. is a life-long sailor and has been in the sail making world for 26 years. Before his career in sail and canvas design and production, he was already a professional in the boating world. At a young age he raced turnabouts and then pursued his passion to larger boats and races such as the Bermuda Double-Handed, Halifax, Yarmouth Cup, Mohegan Race and Key West Race Week. In 2000 Richard completed the design and construction of his very own racing boat, the Family Wagon. Following the completion of the boat he won Key West Race Week in 2001, and came in second in 2002. Richard's sailing is not only confined to Racing but he has also cruised many miles from the east coast of Maine to the Virgin Islands and beyond. His sailing and boating experiences have always included his family members, customers, and employees. Hallett Canvas & Sails, Inc., as a whole, now has experience that ranges from sanding bottoms to designing and building sail and canvas products for all kinds of boats varying from both power boats and dinghy's to Maxi yachts, and all between. Our mission is to produce the very best marine canvas, sails, and rigging products, while providing fast, reliable service. Each client is handled according to their individual desires, needs and goals to ensure complete satisfaction, comfort, and confidence for all their boating needs.
