HEALTHYFOUNDATIONS COUNSELLING

I am a registered Master of Social Work counsellor, having received my MSW from Lakehead University. Prior to entering Social Work I obtained my undergraduate degree in Psychology as well as a concurrent degree in Education. Previously, I was a full-time elementary school teacher in Thunder Bay and subsequently I worked for several years in the medical field in pharmaceuticals. In addition, I have volunteered for many years with a non-profit palliative care organization and completed my master's project work primarily in grief and bereavement. I have worked both within a clinical setting providing individual counselling as well as in a group setting with respect to residential addiction programming and organized grief groups. Since 2012, I have been providing evidence-based trauma therapy for First Responders across Ontario, both in-office and virtually.
