This is a food mission project of our parish, where we provide a package of food each weekend of the school year to children in our community. During the 2017-2018 school year, Mt. Carmel provided packs to 83 children at , New Market Elementary and Middle schools, and Oakdale Elementary School. Volunteer opportunities include shopping, packing one evening a month, delivering packs to schools, communications and bookkeeping... The parish churches - Mt. Carmel, New Market, and Fairview Chapel - have a joint Missions Team. The team schedules, coordinates, evaluates and communicates missions within the churches to ensure that we are maximizing our time, talents, and resources as we serve our communities... Each fall, our team supports our local teachers by serving them a hot breakfast at the beginning of the school year. It's just one more way Mt. Carmel reaches out and supports our community.
