JACOB HIGH

Jacob High's law practice focuses on achieving best-interest solutions in civil transactions and civil cases. In addition to his Juris Doctor, he has a degree in History from Brigham Young University and a Master of Arts in History from Claremont Graduate University. While in law school, he volunteered for the Michigan State Appellate Defender's Office on cases where evidence may have been tainted by mishandling in Detroit's crime lab. He also interned in a high-volume consumer bankruptcy firm and has experience in bankruptcy appellate litigation in federal district court. He provided litigation support and assistance in briefing for a federal issue of first impression nationwide on recent Bankruptcy law and Employee retirement law (ERISA). Since joining the bar, Jacob has gained bankruptcy experience related to intellectual property, collateral estoppel, res judicata, and discharge of debts.
