Brian Johnson

Brian directs Risk International Actuarial Consulting (RIAC) from the company's Charleston, South Carolina office. He joined RIAC's predecessor company, Bartlett Actuarial Group, in 2004 as a consulting actuary. With more than 20 years of experience as a property and casualty actuary, Brian is well-versed in all areas of property and casualty insurance, specializing in captives, risk retention groups, self-insurance funding retention analyses, financial condition exams, and statements of actuarial opinions. Prior to joining Risk International, Brian spent nearly a decade working for a variety of insurance companies.

Dan Patrick - Managing Director

Dan Patrick joined Risk International in 2016 with extensive knowledge in client services and strategic consulting. Today, he serves as Managing Director of our Risk International Benefits Advisory (RIBA) Team. He is responsible for the delivery of high-level client services within the business governance model as well as recruiting, training, and development. Prior to joining Risk International, Dan spent much of his career in operations and client services within the health, wellness, and incentive management industry. During that time, he created customized programs for employers and health administrators. Dan's drive for a range of client and industry solutions, as well as his inquisitive approach to new ideas, are a considerable asset to Risk International's diverse audience.

Eric Krieg - Managing Director

Eric is known as a market innovator and disruptor. He founded Risk International Benefits Advisory (RIBA) in 2014, which is revolutionizing the way employers procure and manage employee benefits. A former industry insider, with 30 years of experience in benefits brokerage and consulting, Eric now focuses his time and energy advising employers about how to gain control over their health and benefits plans. Utilizing strategies such as proper plan governance, optimized sourcing, and in-depth contract and plan analysis, he provides a behind the scenes look at how the benefits industry truly operates. With this conflict-free approach, Eric has eliminated $100M+ of excess cost from health and benefit plans across the country. Eric began his career at a large national insurance company. During his tenure, he held senior executive roles at two different brokerage firms; at one firm, he launched a new benefits brokerage business, and at the other, he achieved annual growth rates of 20% over ten years. Additionally, he has served on national advisory boards for Aetna, United HealthCare, CIGNA, and Guardian, as well as regional groups for Medical Mutual, Anthem, and Kaiser.

Prior to joining Risk International, Michael led strategic initiatives and implemented technology solutions in the insurance brokerage, carrier, and third-party administrator industries.

Randy Weiser - CFO

Randy joined Risk International in 2013 as the Vice President of Finance and Administration. In 2017, he was appointed CFO. His role includes oversight of treasury, financial reporting, planning, and analysis. He is the go-to person for all general administrative matters for the organization. Randy is instrumental in helping leadership identify and solidify major growth opportunities. Prior to joining Risk International, Randy spent more than 15 years in a variety of senior finance and accounting roles for an array of domestic and multinational companies.

Rob Edmonds

Rob serves as Risk International's Senior Director, Sales. He spent the past 20 years exclusively working with Private Equity sponsors and portfolio companies, finding creative solutions to manage healthcare spend. From due diligence to exit, Rob is actively engaged throughout the entire life cycle of a deal. Prior to joining Risk International, Rob led the Private Equity practice for a large regional brokerage firm. His team designed, developed, and implemented aggregated purchasing programs, saving millions of dollars in healthcare spend across multiple portfolios and delivering over $100M in shareholder value over the span of a decade. Todd R. Miller - CEO

Todd Miller joined Risk International in 2015 as Chief Growth Officer. By 2016 he was promoted to President and in July 2017 named CEO. As CEO, Todd is a key member of Risk International's development team and Board, taking primary responsibility for leading the company's commercial activities and spearheading sales and marketing initiatives. Todd is also instrumental in identifying opportunities for expanding Risk International's service offerings and providing strategic vision, guidance and setting long-term goals for the organization. Todd has over 20 years of experience supporting private equity funds and their portfolio companies with their risk and benefits needs. Prior to joining Risk International, Todd spent 15 years at Oswald Companies, overseeing risk management and benefits services. He finished his tenure as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Columbus, Ohio office.

W. Todd Lawrence - President

Todd Lawrence joined Risk International in 2022, bringing with him over 25 years of experience leading growth strategies, business combinations, and turnarounds across a range of SaaS, data/analytics, and services companies. As President, Todd is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations while simultaneously driving strategic opportunities as the company continues to grow and scale. Todd came to Risk International from Wolters Kluwer, where he most recently served as Managing Director for the Finance, Risk and Reporting business in the Americas. Prior to this role, Todd led Strategy and Business Development for the company's Governance, Risk and Compliance division, where he worked with the CEO and senior leadership to execute strategic growth opportunities, including several acquisitions. Todd has also spent time as an entrepreneur, founding the private investment vehicle Sequential Capital Partners and acquiring the platform company Data Fusion Technologies where he served as CEO. He previously held a variety of strategic transformation positions at larger organizations, including Dun and Bradstreet and Qwest Communications, and gained valuable experience early in his career with Salomon Smith Barney and Bain and Company.
