Dusty Bryant

Job Titles:
  • Worship and Life Groups Pastor
Dusty is a Charleston native who grew up on James Island. After graduating from the College of Charleston, he spent time in Sheffield, England immersed in the missional church movement and then onto a church plant in Texas before returning to the Lowcountry! He has led worship in multiple contexts since 1998. He has been a part of the Lighthouse team since 2010 leading the Worship Team, Life Groups and as part of the Pastoral teaching team. Dusty and his beautiful bride, Tammy, have loved being married since 2004, and love raising their three children together! They love board games, roller coasters, hitting the ball fields and so much more as a family. You may have even noticed Dusty on stage in the Charleston theater scene over the years. Dusty is passionate about leading others in worshiping God, whether it's in the context of music, teaching or spending time with others. He enjoys helping people get connected to our Lighthouse Life Groups and coming alongside our Life Group leaders to encourage them in ‘doing life together' as a church family beyond Sunday mornings!

Jon Gresh

Job Titles:
  • Pastor
As a native to the beautiful Charleston area, I developed a passion to see the Kingdom of God explode here. In June of 2000 I married the woman of my dreams … I know that seems cheesy but it is true. Throughout the years God has blessed us in many ways, especially with our children, Ansley and Cade. I have a strong burden for this community and for those who are hurting around us. Through serving others and meeting their needs both physical and spiritual, I desire to bring glory and honor to God. As a part of Lighthouse Church, I started a one day a month time of service to our community called Action Day. I believe that Christ followers should show the love of God in truth and in Action - 1 John 3:18. Natalie and I along with our team desire to see Lighthouse continue to develop into a body of believers that is passionate about the community and each other as a Family. Natalie and I lead and host a Life Group that focuses on all areas of a families spiritual needs. As a Family of Families we gather at each other's house to worship together, to build upon our relationships as family and to serve the Kingdom together. Our Life Group is a special group of people in our lives. Our desire is to see our Life Group and the other groups at Lighthouse grow and multiply. The key to this multiplication within our Life Group Relationships is Discipleship! Our hearts thrive through discipleship and how we can lead others toward a deeper relationship with Christ.

Kim Johnson

Job Titles:
  • Children 's Director
I am originally from Massachusetts and spent my entire childhood and a good part of my adult life living within a hundred mile radius of the hospital I was born in! Needless to say, I wasn't one to wander too far from home! I attended a small college (close to home of course!) and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. My family and I came to visit a friend in 2004 and that, folks, was the end of my "stay close to home" mentality! Home is where your heart is, and our hearts were very much here in South Carolina! We felt it almost immediately. In August 2005, we moved to Mount Pleasant, fell in love with the Low Country! My son, Matthew is now 23, and graduating from the University of South Carolina with a major in Biological Science. My daughter, Riley is 20 and attending Cosm etology school. We began attending Lighthouse Church in 2009 and quickly called it our second home or "families of families" (another place where our hearts were!). I began as a preschool teacher at Lighthouse Christian Learning Center in 2005, before attending church here, and taught until 2011 when I felt led to apply for the position of Children's Ministry Director here at Lighthouse. I have been the CMD for almost 11 years and love what I do! Watching the children grow in the Lord and serve others has been amazing. Because of my love for teaching, I rejoined our preschool family and teach a two year old class and a three year old class as well. What a blessing both of my jobs have been! "Teaching kids to count is fine, but teaching them WHAT COUNTS is best." I believe this both spiritually as well as educationally. I am excited to be a part of your child's growth and spiritual development at Lighthouse Church, to have the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus, to love and to teach your children and to witness God move through them.

Nicholas Zerbst

Job Titles:
  • Family and Student Ministry
Katelyn and I were both raised in Hanahan and graduated from Hanahan High School, where we started dating. We continued our education at Clemson University where I received my degree in Psychology and Nonprofit Leadership in 2016. Katelyn (former valedictorian) received her nursing degree in 2017. With regard to my relationship with Jesus, I surrendered my life when I was about 4 years old in Sunday School. I heard the gospel and it made sense to me. When I was in 7th grade, I decided that if I said I believed in something so radical, I was going to try to live like it. I was about 13 years old when I began to "own my faith" and dying to myself to follow Christ. I felt the call to student ministry during my senior year at Hanahan High. I was able to lead at my high school's FCA huddle and it was the highlight of my week. I admitted that my skills and interests were aligned with full time ministry and I began preparing for a possible opportunity through serving with FCA and at my local church while in Clemson. I would be a worse follower of Jesus without Katelyn. She gave her life to Christ in 2012 and has never been the same. Even though she has a challenging job she's able to comfort me, challenge me, and serve with me. I can't imagine life without her. I love the students at Lighthouse! We are focused on having fun, being REAL, and learning about Jesus. I'd love to chat about how you can be a part of this ministry at 843-408-2309.
