Beckett Hall

Beckett Hall was completed in the summer of 2007 and named after Cheryl Beckett, an IWU alumna who lost her life serving as a humanitarian aid worker in Afghanistan; she was honored as the very first IWU Alumni World Changer. Beckett was originally designed to house freshmen women on the East side and upper-division women on the West side. In Fall 2017, Beckett Hall transitioned to an integrated model and now houses freshmen through seniors throughout the building, mirroring our other traditional halls. Beckett students benefit from the informal mentoring and peer support that can happen when students at every stage in their college experience share life and learning together. The Beckett women enjoy a beautiful and expansive lobby area that is always the center of activity. Beckett Hall is home to 300+ women and mirrors its brother hall, South Hall, which is just across the lawn.
