MAECare (Moor Allerton Elderly Care) was set up in 1995 by Churches Together in Moor Allerton and Shadwell. In 2008 we became an independent charity and company limited by guarantee... Our aim is to support older people to have the best quality of life and to live independently for as long as possible... Support with the Cost of Living We manage the Household Support Fund for the Alwoodley Ward. We have shopping vouchers and Fuel Vouchers for pre-payment meters to local people, aged 60+, who are struggling with the cost of living.
