In 2002 Mike Soffa retired from the retail music world to spend more time with his family. He decided to also pursue once again live performance and sold the store to Jim and Dan Gilgenbach. The Gilgenbach family continually developed the community atmosphere until April 2020, when longtime employees Andrew Johnson and Jeremy Helbling took the reigns as the new owners of Mike's Music and Sound, Inc. Continuing innovation and support from long time business partners such as Fender, Marshall, JBL, Conn-Selmer, Gemeinhardt and many others have always helped us meet the needs of our musicians.
