Our goal is to produce well-rounded materials scientists and engineers who function effectively in the technical arena as well as possess the skills to assume leadership roles in industry, academia, and government... Through its state-of-the-art facilities and advanced computer resources, MSE integrates education and research, giving our students opportunities to solve real-world problems in the classroom, field and laboratory settings... These interdisciplinary projects embody the spirit of COMPASS, bridging the gap between theory and real-world applications.
