Anna Marie "Ree" Amezquita has been at Moreno Valley College for over 20 years. Ree began teaching for MVC in fall 2000. She became interim vice president of Academic Affairs in 2022, having previously served as dean of Instruction for Communications and Liberal Arts as well as in teaching and holding other coordinator positions during her career. She was one of the founding coordinators of the Puente Program at MVC. The division of Academic Affairs oversees MVC's six schools, accreditation efforts, curriculum, academic offerings, faculty and provides ongoing support to facilitate the gifted educators and students that make up our College community.

Majd Askar

Majd Askar holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from California State University, San Bernardino. She began her career at Riverside Unified School District in 2003. In 2010, she transitioned to RCCD, working alongside Aaron Brown, vice chancellor of Business Services. For five years, she served as purchasing manager and in 2015 earned the title of director of Business Services. Askar became Vice President, Business Services on August 17, 2021 after serving in the position as an interim. The division of Business Services supports the needs of students, faculty and staff while coordinating business and administrative services functions and responsibilities for the College.

Mark Figueroa

Figueroa spent 10 years at Lewis & Clark College, a private institution in Portland, OR. He is familiar with the Inland Empire, having earned his bachelor's degree in Philosophy-Law and Society with a minor in Chicano Studies from UC Riverside. He went on to earn a master's degree from Arizona State University in Public Administration, with a concentration in Management. He then attended Claremont Graduate University, earning his Ph.D. in Education, specializing in Higher Education and Administration. A published author, Figueroa has also presented on topics ranging from data utilization to student success. Figueroa is also a sought-after consultant, working previously with San Mateo Community College District, Pasadena City College, Walla Walla Community College, and other institutions on equity, opportunity and access. He began his career as a research assistant at Arizona State University but progressed into the fields of institutional research, equity and inclusion, and assessment. In 2011, he left Scripps College to become the director of Institutional Research at Lewis & Clark College. He was promoted to associate provost and then to associate vice president of research and planning. In 2019 he was also named dean of Equity & Inclusion. Figueroa managed the operations of two divisions and also served as the Title IX coordinator. The division of Planning and Development leads the College's strategic planning efforts and institutional effectiveness and additional responsibility centered around student success and support, workforce development, marketing, grants, and college advancement efforts.

Robin Steinback - President

Robin L. Steinback, Ph.D., became the fourth President of Moreno Valley College in 2017. Steinback is a product of the community college system, having graduated from Mt. San Jacinto College in 1979. She attended UC Riverside, earning an undergraduate degree and a master's degree in Sociology. In 1991, she received her Ph.D. from UCR in Sociology. She has over 32 years of experience at the community college level in California. Since 2013, Steinback has served as MVC's vice president of Academic Affairs. In this role, she oversees the planning and administering of instructional programs as well as the oversight of the College's master plan, strategic goals, program review, and accountability for areas when it comes to accreditation. Steinback began her teaching career as an adjunct instructor at Mt. San Jacinto College. After nearly 15 years as an instructor, Steinback launched her management career when she was selected as Mt. San Jacinto College's dean of Instruction. In 2008, she landed the vice president of Academic Affairs at Solano College and in 2010 returned to Southern California as vice president of Instruction at Cuyamaca College. In 2013, she arrived at Moreno Valley College as its vice president of Academic Affairs, a job she has held for almost four years. She also spent a year in the District office as the interim vice chancellor of Educational Services. Steinback has a background in developing program and economic development opportunities, such as the Green Economy program Cuyamaca developed under her leadership. She was a statewide committee member for the development of the Associate Degree Transfer program, which has become a leading transfer lifeline for students to CSU institutions. In 2017, Robin Steinback, Ph.D., was selected as the College's fourth president. With decades of community college experience as an educator and administrator, she brought a strong foundation to the continued development and advance of the College. She herself was a first-generation college student and knows firsthand how transformative community colleges can be in the lives of students and to the social and economic development of our communities.
