Michael Kavanagh is a practicing architect and member of the Royal institute of Architects of Ireland.
He studied architecture at Dublin Institute of Technology. After graduating in 1990, he moved to Berlin and worked with Muller Riemann Architekten. He returned to Dublin in 1995 and joined Gerry Cahill Architects before establishing MVK Architects in 2000 with Victoria Kavanagh. In 2020 Michael was awarded the designation of Conservation Architect Garde II by the RIAI. In tandem with his work in the practice, Michael has been a part-time tutor at UCD School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy.

Victoria Kavanagh is a practicing architect and member of the Royal institute of Architects of Ireland.
She studied architecture at Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. She has worked in private practice in Los Angeles, with architecture firms in Los Angeles, Washington DC and Hawaii in the US. In Berlin, she worked with Muller Reimann Architekten, before coming to Dublin with her partner Michael Kavanagh and establishing MVK Architects in 2000. She is a Grade III Conservation Architect, and Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in the UCD school of Architecture Planning and Environmental Policy, teaching design in landscape architecture.
