Dr. Ana Ferro graduated from the University of Lisbon, Faculty of Dental Medicine and completed her post-graduate education in Periodontology at the University of Gothenburg in 2005 and her specialization degree in Periodontics at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Lisbon in 2011. Currently she is pursuing a PhD in biomedical sciences at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon.
Joining the MALO CLINIC team in 2005, Dr. Ferro practices periodontology, oral surgery and dental implant rehabilitation exclusively. Since 2015, she serves as head of the Oral Surgery, Implant and Periodontology department at MALO CLINIC Lisbon. Interested in patient management and anxiety control, Dr. Ferro holds an Academic Certification in Conscious Sedation from MaDr.id Complutense University.
Dr. Ferro has lectured (2004-2008) and is an Invited Assistant for the University of Lisbon Periodontology Department and is a key speaker of the MALO CLINIC Education, Nobel Biocare and an expert for the Foundation for Oral Rehabilitation (FOR). She lectures on Periodontology, Oral Rehabilitation, Implantology, Guided surgery and Conscious Sedation at national and international conferences and has authored and coauthored several journal scientific publications and book chapters.
Dr. Andrew Dawood focuses his clinical practice on dental implant surgery at the Dawood and Tanner Specialist Dental Practice, having worked with implants for more than 25 years.
He is involved in research and development for specialist implant manufacture and in 3D imaging and 3D printing.
Andrew has honorary attachments at University College London and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals, London, where he provides implant rehabilitation and restoration of the craniomaxillofacial complex for patients who have undergone extensive resection or trauma.
He enjoys teaching and collaborating with referring colleagues and lectures regularly on surgical and prosthodontic aspects of implant dentistry in the UK and internationally. He heads a large clinical and scientific team in London working closely together for the ultimate benefit of the patient. He is well represented in the scientific literature and has several significant innovations to his name, including the development of an award-winning computerized implant Drill controller and various implant designs.

Dr. Ankur Johri is a distinguished oral and maxillofacial surgeon, with a DDS from the University of Toronto and an MD from the University of Connecticut. He is board certified by the ABOMS and a Fellow of the ACS.
Dr. Johri has a strong commitment to education, having lectured on various topics and conducted surgical anatomy courses.
He specializes in dental implants, the All-on-4® treatment concept, and zygomatic implants, and performs more invasive procedures at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
He is also a Peer Journal Reviewer for the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Junior Examiner for the ABOMS. Dr. Johri holds an unrestricted anesthesia permit from the State of Pennsylvania and is ACLS, PALS and BLS certified.
Dr. Armando Lopes graduated from the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Lisbon, in 2003 and joined the MALO CLINIC team in 2004. Currently Director of the Oral Surgery and Implantology Department at the MALO CLINIC and MALO CLINIC Warsaw Clinical Director, he is also a member of the MALO CLINIC Executive Committee.
Practicing exclusively in oral surgery and dental implant rehabilitation, Armando Lopes has an extensive know-how on total rehabilitation using the All-on-4 Surgical Protocol including the zygomatic approach and is also an expert in Digital Surgery.
One of the MALO CLINIC key Speakers, Armando Lopes lectures regularly at international courses, conferences and other training events featuring oral rehabilitation, implantology and Digital Surgery. With a Master in Science's degree in Clinical Dental Research in 2013, and a PhD in 2019 both from the University of Granada (Spain), Armando Lopes is also author and coauthor of several scientific publications.

Dr. Bobby Birdi received his DMD with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan and his post-graduate specialty training in periodontics and prosthodontics from the University of Minnesota. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and the American Board of Prosthodontics.
Dr. Birdi is one of the few board-certified dual specialists in periodontics and prosthodontics in North America, and the first and only specialist in the world to attain board certification in these two specialties in both the USA and Canada.
Dr. Birdi is a reviewer for numerous leading journals and has recently been appointed to the board of The Journal of Clinical and Practical Oral Implantology.
He has academic affiliations at the University of British Columbia and the University of Minnesota, and also lectures nationally and internationally in the fields of implant surgery, prosthetics and dental esthetics.
Dr. Birdi is the co-founder of the Digital Dentistry Institute, one of the largest dental educational organizations in Canada, and maintains a private practice in Vancouver dedicated to comprehensive periodontal and prosthetic treatment with a major focus on esthetics and implant dentistry.
Dr. Dennis Rohner completed the Dental and Medical Board examinations in 1985 and 1990, respectively. He has been trained in Hand Surgery, General Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery. He spent one year as Research Fellow at the Singapore General Hospital in Plastic Surgery. He completed his training in Maxillofacial and Reconstructive Surgery at the University Hospital in Basel in 1999. In 2005 he completed his Master Thesis entitled, "Prefabrication of Free Vascular Flaps" and was subsequently appointed Associate Professor at the University of Basel.
As a Senior Consultant he is Co-director of the Craniofacial Center, where he has practiced since 2003. He is a Faculty Member of AO International. He has widely lectured and published internationally.
Dr. Danesh-Meyer completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Master of Periodontology (with Distinction) from the University of Otago, New Zealand. He was a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Otago and in full-time private practice specializing in dental implants and periodontics. He held the position of Clinical Assistant Professor in Periodontology at Temple University in Philadelphia from 1998-2000.
Dr. Danesh-Meyer has been involved in preclinical and clinical research involving GTR/GBR, rhBMP-2 and dental implants, authored numerous articles and has lectured both nationally and internationally on these subjects.
In 2000, he established the Institute of Dental Implants & Periodontics and the Auckland Clinical Training Centre in Auckland, New Zealand. Dr. Danesh-Meyer is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and Fellow of the ITI. He lectures for gIDE/LLU master clinican program and is actively involved in teaching periodontics and implant dentistry.

Prof. Alessandro Pozzi has been in practice since 1997. He is a Clinical Researcher in Surgical navigation and Advanced Dental Technologies at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, a Clinical Associate Professor at Goldstein Center for Esthetics and Implant Dentistry, Augusta University, USA and a part-time Faculty member at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Department of Restorative & Biomaterials Sciences, USA. He holds a PhD from the Doctoral School of Clinical Medicine, University of Szeged, Hungary and specializes in Orthodontics, TMJ disfunctions and is a Specialist in Oral Surgery.
He is a widely published researcher and scientist and in 2013 was awarded the Judson C. Hickey Scientific Writing Award from the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry. For his commitment to the field of Osseointegration he was awarded the prestigious Fellowship status of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO) in 2020, and in 2021, he received the Best Original Paper Award from the Japanese Society of Prosthodontics. In 2023 he attained the Dual-Specialist Diploma of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO) in Surgical and Prosthetic Implant Dentistry.
He co-edited the textbook "Fundamentals of Implant Dentistry" (Quintessence Publishing) with PK Moy and John Beumer and is an editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Oral Implantology (IJOI), the Journal of Esthetic Restorative Dentistry (JERD) and International Journal of Oral Maxillofacial Implants (IJOMI).
Prof. Pozzi is a member of the Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (IAED), lectures internationally at congresses and academies and conducts training courses at his training center the Pozzi Institute in Rome, an AO qualified international training center that focuses on guided and navigation-assisted implant-surgery and digitally assisted immediate function and esthetics.
Prof. Christoph Hämmerle is the former Chairman of the Clinic of Reconstructive Dentistry, Center of Dental Medicine, University of Zurich. He is certified in prosthodontics and periodontics and holds a specialist degree in Implant Dentistry from the Swiss Society of Odontology.
His clinical focus is on the comprehensive treatment of complex, partially edentulous patients applying all available options of reconstructive dentistry including dental implants. His main scientific interests encompass the biological and technological aspects of fixed reconstructions on teeth and implants as part of the overall restorative treatment concept. Specific areas include hard and soft tissue augmentation, imaging techniques, computer aided planning and treatment execution, as well as the clinical application and processing of ceramics, composites, and hybrid materials.
Prof. Cristiano Susin, DDS, MSD, PhD, is the Ray C. Williams Orapharma Distinguished Professor of Periodontal Medicine, chair of the Division of Comprehensive Oral Health and Director of the Graduate Program in Periodontology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegre, Brazil, his master's degree in periodontology from the Lutheran University of Brazil, and his doctorate degree from University of Bergen in Bergen, Norway. Prof. Susin completed his residency in periodontics at the Dental College of Georgia and he is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Until 2018, Prof. Susin was a Professor in the Department of Periodontics at Augusta University Dental College of Georgia, where he served as the director for the Laboratory for Applied Periodontal and Craniofacial Research, and the director for the Center for Clinical and Translational Research.
Prof. Susin has been the recipient of several awards, including the R. Earl Robinson Periodontal Regeneration Award from the American Academy of Periodontology.
He has coauthored over 150 scientific articles in peer-reviewed dental and medical journals and presented internationally on topics focusing on craniofacial regeneration and oral epidemiology.
