NTMA is an "Officer school." The Academy has produced over a thousand graduates since its first batch of graduates in 2011. NTMA graduates have successfully passed the licensure examinations for deck and engine officers conducted by the Philippine government... NTMA is the first maritime school put up in the Philippines by a foreign shipowner in partnership with a Filipino company. It occupies a ten-hectare campus located in a major industrial zone southwest of the nation's capital Metro Manila.
