Cedric L. Parker KC has practiced law at The Bahamas Bar for over 40 years.
Mr. Parker has vast legal experience, with special skills in litigation generally with particular expertise in civil litigation, libel law, and the law of real property sales, acquisition, and development. Mr. Parker enjoys a successful practice before the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, and Privy Council.
Mr. Parker obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Economics (Hons.) from the University of the West Indies, Kingston, Jamaica, on the 1st August 1974. Thereafter, Mr. Parker entered Articles of Clerkship in the Chambers of J. Henry Bostwick KC, and was admitted to the practice of law at the Bar in The Bahamas on the 21 st August 1981.
Mr. Parker founded the firm in March 1982.
A relentless and concise advocate, Mr. Parker is often consulted and retained by his colleagues at the Bar and the firm is often retained in cases where individual rights conflict with public authority.
K. Miles Parker studied law at the University of Keele, obtaining his Bachelor of Laws Degree in 2000. He completed the Bar Vocational course at College of Law (London) in 2001. He was called to The Bahamas Bar and the Bar of England and Wales in 2001.
Mr. Parker went on to obtain a Master of Laws Degree in Maritime Law from the University of Nottingham in 2003. Mr. Parker returned to The Bahamas and joined the firm, which he now leads as its Managing Partner.
Mr. Parker serves as general and litigation counsel for many Residential Community and Condominium Developments, as well as real estate attorney and conveyancing counsel for many Property Developers in The Bahamas. His practice also involves representing parties in complex and high net-worth Divorce and Family matters before the highest courts in The Bahamas.
Mr. Parker is Managing Partner of the firm, under whose stewardship the firm continues to grow, develop, and thrive as a leading full-service law firm in The Bahamas.
