Mr. Kaplan is the founding principal of PacVentures, Inc. Mr. Kaplan was born in Phoenix, Arizona and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, magna cum laude, from Harvard College. He received a Juris Doctorate from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley, and a Masters of Business Administration from the Walter A. Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
Mr. Kaplan started his career as a transaction attorney and was involved in all types of real estate transactions. He is experienced in entitlement, development, leasing, acquisition, and disposition of real property, and is a licensed California real estate broker. Ms. Nguyen is a Staff Accountant at PacVentures. She studied Psychology at San Diego State University. Prior to joining PacVentures, Ms. Nguyen was the staff accountant at a San Diego business consulting firm where she was responsible for the bulk of the firm's bookkeeping duties, assisting in tax preparation, and maintaining client relations. Ford Wang is the Director of Acquisitions at PacVentures, and he is responsible for sourcing acquisitions & asset management. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, with a minor in Management Science from University of California, San Diego. He also received his Master of Science in Real Estate from University of San Diego. Mr. Wang formerly worked at BioMed Realty, a Blackstone portfolio company, the largest private provider of real estate solutions to the life science and technology industries. He also had experience raising foreign capital (EB-5 program) to fund two development projects in New York. He is an active participant in ULI and NAIOP events. Mr. Simmons resides in Austin, Texas where he has been active in the real estate market for the past 25 years. He attended the University of Texas and graduated with honors in Accounting. He also received his Juris Doctorate from Baylor University School of Law, where he received various awards including being the recipient of the Advanced Texas Land Practice award. Mr. Simmons has been involved in virtually all types of real estate transactions which include assisting in the development and leasing of Austin's premier office project known as Barton Skyway - a one million square-foot suburban office complex just outside of downtown. In his various other capacities, he has acquired and sold over $100,000,000 worth of commercial real estate including office buildings, retail centers and land. Recently, he was responsible for the entitlement and sale of fifty acres to a fortune 100 data center user in Georgetown, Texas. Mr. Simmons is licensed in Texas as a broker and attorney at law. Mr. Wechter is a principal of PacVentures, Inc. Born in El Paso, Texas, he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in real estate and finance, cum laude, from the University of Texas at Austin. He also received his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, with an emphasis in real estate. Mr. Wechter earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California Law Center (USC), graduating in the top 20% of his class and served as editor of the Southern California Law Review.
Mr. Wechter worked as a commercial real estate investment banker for over six years before and during law school, during which time he negotiated, structured and closed over $100 million in debt and equity joint ventures, investment sales, and construction, bridge and permanent financings. After law school, Mr. Wechter was a real estate and business lawyer at San Diego's then largest law firm where he gained extensive experience in hundreds of real estate and business transactions. Mr. Wechter has broad experience in the areas of land use, development, lease negotiations, financing, acquisition/disposition, construction and property management. Mr. Bennan has been a partner with PacVentures, Inc. affiliated entities for the past 7 years and was formerly a Principal at the Trammell Crow Company, one of the largest diversified real estate service companies in the world.
Mr. Bennan began his career with Trammell Crow Company in 1990 as a retail leasing agent representing clients such as Exxon, Mobil, Bank One, Tandy, OfficeMax, and Marshalls in addition to overseeing a sizable retail portfolio. Mr. Bennan became actively engaged in commercial development in 1996 and was responsible for developing over one million square feet of office and industrial projects during his tenure at Trammell Crow. Notable projects include a 170,000 square foot office building which was built to suit the Arizona State Department of Health Services, and a 500,000 square foot industrial project ventured with Prudential Real Estate. Mr. Donnelly is the Acquisitions Director at PacVentures, Inc. Mr. Donnelly was born in San Diego, California and received his Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama. Prior to joining PacVenutres, Mr. Donnelly was an Associate with Lee & Associates where he specialized in the acquisition and disposition of industrial and investment properties.
