Dan Kim

David Fryson

Debra Liebowitz is an innovative leader with an impactful record of creating partnerships and launching initiatives that enable university growth, promote diversity, strengthen shared governance, and immersive learning opportunities. She oversees all academic programs at Quinnipiac, the university's nine schools, and all other academic units and centers. She is also a professor of political science at Quinnipiac. Liebowitz most recently served as provost and dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Caspersen School of Graduate Studies at Drew University, where she led three schools with approximately 2,200 undergraduate and graduate students. Liebowitz joined Drew in 2000 as an assistant professor teaching international politics and gender studies. Elicia Spearman is a highly accomplished labor and employment attorney and human resources executive who has worked for several Fortune 500 companies. She was appointed the university's general counsel and vice president for human resources in April 2020. Before joining Quinnipiac, she served as vice president and chief human resources officer at General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut. In that role, Spearman led the human resources function for the company's 17,000 employees and managed a budget of $24 million. Previously, she held executive-level positions at Hubbell Incorporated, where she was chief employment counsel and, later, vice president for human resources. Prior to that, she practiced law as an employment lawyer for several years at Aetna before transitioning to human resources to lead the Employee Relations Center of Excellence and manage a team of human resources business partners. Prior to returning home to Connecticut, Spearman practiced law in the District of Columbia and worked for Children's National Medical Center and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She is licensed to practice law in four states and before the U.S. Supreme Court. Spearman has earned several awards for her professional accomplishments and community service. Spearman earned her juris doctor degree from Case Western Reserve School of Law, where she was appointed by the dean of the law school as the chief justice of the honor court, and earned a bachelor's degree in political science and psychology from Wellesley College.

Erik M. President Olian is widely recognized as an innovative leader in higher education. She became Quinnipiac University's 9th president in July 2018. Prior to joining Quinnipiac, she served as dean of UCLA Anderson School of Management and John E. Anderson Chair in Management for 12 years. Her tenure at UCLA was highlighted by bold achievements. Katelyn Norman

Katelyn Norman, MD '17, presents her capstone project findings. Norman combined her passions for art and science to create forensic facial reconstruction sketches. Her capstone aimed to develop a methodology for forensic facial approximations that synthesizes current techniques, such as the 3D Manchester method and the American method of reconstruction. Students in the Scholarly Reflection and Concentration/Capstone course pursue scholarly research in an area of interest related to clinical medicine.

In this role, he works with teams, venues, and properties, utilizing innovative thinking, strategic planning and results-driven execution to help drive business forward. Prior to this, Zavodsky served as Chief Business Officer of the Detroit Pistons and as President of the US for Roc Nation. Zavodsky also spent 14 years with BSE Global. During his tenure with the Pistons, Zavodsky oversaw the brand renewal, including the introduction of its 313 logo, the lifestyle-oriented Pistons313Shop, a revamped in-game entertainment strategy anchored by connectivity and performances by Detroit born talent, several successful merchandising and content collaborations including Martin Lawrence and Warren Lotas, and the introduction of a new interchangeable court system. Wormley began his career in the athletics department at Quinnipiac before moving to Tucson, Arizona and working in secondary finance. He later worked at at Sacred Heart University and Fairfield University where he also focused on athletic development, endowment, capital fundraising - all in senior management roles. He returned to Quinnipiac in 2022 as associate vice president for development and alumni affairs before being named vice president of development and alumni affairs in March 2024. Patrick A. Charmel '81 is the president and CEO of Griffin Health. Charmel has been associated with Griffin since 1979, when he served as an undergraduate intern while attending Quinnipiac University. Throughout his more than 40 years at Griffin, he has held various administrative positions leading to his appointment as chief executive officer in 1998. During his tenure, he has positioned Griffin Hospital as an innovative organization recognized as an industry leader in providing personalized, humanistic, consumer-driven health care in a healing environment. Charmel also serves as chairman of Planetree Inc., a subsidiary not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the care experience in more than 800 care sites across 27 countries. In addition, he is chairman of the Value Care Alliance, a collaboration of Connecticut hospitals, health systems and physician organizations building the infrastructure necessary to deliver high value accountable care. Under his leadership, Griffin Hospital has received numerous awards including being named one of Fortune Magazine's 100 best companies to work for in America 10 years in a row and a 2019 Newsweek Magazine "World's Best Hospital." Tom Ellett, PhD, joined Quinnipiac as the chief experience officer in August 2020, overseeing all student-facing functions, including enrollment management, student affairs, registrar, bursar, public safety, veterans' affairs and career services. Prior to joining Quinnipiac, he served as senior associate vice president for student affairs at New York University. He oversaw student-facing functions and residential life for 11,000 students spread across New York City. He led the university's logistical response to COVID-19, a complex undertaking in a city that was initially the country's epicenter of the coronavirus. Ellett brings deep expertise and a student-centered mindset, focusing on improving the student experience on the NYU campus as well as across its 14 global centers. He led the creation of living-learning communities to enrich students' intellectual and personal growth, and lived with his family throughout his time at NYU in a student residence hall. He was instrumental in creating a new Center for Student Life, which integrated student activities and the student resource center into a single cohesive unit.
