RIDGE MEADOWS OUTDOOR CLUB

The Ridge Meadows Outdoor Club was formed in April 1994 when John Hume approached Maple Ridge Parks and Recreation about forming a hiking club. With the support of the local newspapers he put an article in the local paper and called a meeting of people interested in forming an outdoor club. Over 200 people showed up and the club was formed. Initially the club was established and ran under the leadership of John Hume, Fran Siebert and Paul Crosby... The Ridge Meadows Outdoor Club, established in the Maple Ridge / Pitt Meadows area of British Columbia holds day hikes and other activities as well as weekend and longer activities for every level of outdoor enthusiast. We promote respect for the environment and offer opportunities for individuals and families to experience the great outdoors.
