River Valley GIS Users Group is a group of GIS Users located in the Arkansas River Valley. We have members from Crawford, Franklin, Logan, Scott and Sebastian Counties. We are a 501(c)3 Non-Proft Group... Our mission is to advance a common goal by the various agencies of educational institutions, consultants, private industry, state, federal, county and local government to acquire, apply and share Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technologies; to assure the highest quality and to reduce unnecessary duplication in the application of GIS Technology; to meet with each other, learn of GIS applications in the region and assist other users, especially at new sites; to develop and help others develop of variety of educational programs and material on geographic information and technology issues; to promote public understanding of the River Valley GIS Users Group and geographic information and technology issues through a variety of media, and share technical expertise, application..
