The family behind ShoreView has a very long history with San Diego; in fact, it is one of the oldest families in San Diego. Albert Jones moved from Wales to Mexico with his wife and two sons to further develop the railroad industry. In 1882, he moved his family to San Diego where he and his son, H.G. Jones, Sr. began investing in real estate. They had quite an eye for property as they bought up lots, buildings and houses in what are now the Gaslamp, Mission Beach, Bankers' Hill and eventually Point Loma. H.G. went on to found what is still the oldest existing company in the city... Lake San Marcos is a great neighborhood to own Lake San Marcos..
