Alison Proctor

Alison Proctor has been a Foster City resident for over 15 years and is the proud mom of 2 boys in the San Mateo-Foster City School District. She is Bay Area native and a product of the Millbrae School District and San Mateo Union High School District. She earned a BA in Business Economics from UC Santa Barbara, a Master's in Taxation from Golden Gate University and is a licensed CPA. She is a Partner at Seiler LLP, a CPA firm in Redwood Shores where she's worked since 2002. Alison is deeply committed to serving our local public schools. She has been a PTA leader at Foster City Elementary School, serving as the PTA President for 2 years and the PTA Treasurer for 2 years prior to that. She was also on the School Site Council in 2018-2019. Prior to her time spent at Foster City School, she was the Treasurer of Sea Breeze School and the Foster City Parents' Club. In her spare time, Alison enjoys traveling, going to the movies and watching her boys play baseball.

Ken is also an extremely active community leader and a former civil servant. He serves as Vice-President of the San Mateo City Parks and Recreation Foundation and is a member of the San Mateo County Transportation Authority Citizens Advisory Committee, County of San Mateo Measure K Sales Tax Oversight Committee, and the City of San Mateo General Plan Sub-Committee. From 2006 to 2015, Ken worked for the City of San Mateo as a Project Manager in the Public Works Department and a City Planner in the Community Development Department.

Maggie Trinh

Maggie Trinh (she/her) is proud to be a daughter of immigrants and a UC Berkeley/UC Davis School of Law graduate. She has lived in the greater Bay Area since 2004, and her two children attend Sunnybrae Elementary, a Title I SMFCSD school. She has served on the PTA, School Site Council, and English Language Advisory Committee there. Professionally, Maggie has been practicing employment law in San Mateo County since 2011. In 2021, she opened her own practice, Next Chapter Legal, in part to address an unmet need for affordable, sliding scale employment advice. She has also been active with housing and climate justice issues. In her increasingly precious spare time, she enjoys baking, amateur but enthusiastic organic gardening, singing with a community choir, and biking around town with her family

Shara Watkins

Shara has dedicated her life to education and to the students in her local communities. After graduating from Wellesley College, she participated in the Teach for America program in New York City. During this time, she earned her Master's degree in Childhood General and Special Education. Over the past twelve years, she has been a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and curriculum designer. Shara has lead extensive teacher training on a variety of topics, from equity in education to using technology as a tool to improve student learning. In August 2013, Shara and her husband moved to San Mateo and have finally found their home. Since moving to Bay Meadows, she has been actively involved in serving and supporting her community. As a SMFCSD School Board Trustee, she looks forward to continuing to give back to the students, families, teachers, and San Mateo-Foster community in a way that leverages her expertise and continues the trajectory of excellent schools for all kids.
