Dr. Keisha Brown is a native of Washington, DC. She first came to North Carolina to attend Bennett College for Women in Greensboro, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002. Dr. Brown furthered her dental education by completing a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington, DC in 2003. Having loved her time spent in the great state of North Carolina, Dr. Brown returned to NC to practice dentistry after completing her residency. She practiced in Franklin County for 4 ½ years prior to opening Something to Smile About in Raleigh in 2008.
Dr. Brown strives to provide the best care for her patients. In doing so, she utilizes new technologies as well as attends several continuing education courses throughout the year. Dr. Brown is a member of the American Dental Association, Old North State Dental Society and the North Carolina Dental Society.
Dr. Brown believes in being involved in the community and giving back. She is a member of the Raleigh Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Raleigh Area Chapter of Bennett College Alumnae Association. Both organizations allow her to help in raising money for college scholarships for students. Dr. Brown also enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading and working out.
