The Textile Commissioner's Organization, with the status of an attached department under the Ministry of Industries, and headed by a Textile Commissioner was, therefore, created in November 1973. However, with the creation of Ministry of Textile Industry in 2004, the Textile Commissioner's Organization was given the status of attached department of MINTEX. The TCO remained the attached department of Ministry of Textile Industry till 2013... Mission: To develop and revitalize the Textile Industry in order to create a strong export base through developing / maintaining the database and to serve as a bridge between Government and Textile Industry.
