Alison Fox

Alison is responsible for building Team4Tech's corporate partnerships. She brings more than 15 years of experience in the areas of education, ecommerce, and international economic development and trade. Prior to working with Team4Tech, her desire to support educational outcomes led Alison to create a bilingual literacy program in a dual-language public school in the Bay Area. Previously, she built client relationships and developed and managed complex global programs at iXL Enterprises and eBay, and engaged in financial market research and policy advice at the Inter-American Development Bank. Alison has a passion for improving literacy, and continues to volunteer as a tutor in Bay Area schools. She holds a MPhil in Development Economics from the University of Cambridge and an AB in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Amy Harris

Amy Harris is responsible for Team4Tech's revenue generation through philanthropy. Her career in the nonprofit sector spans two decades where she has successfully secured millions of dollars for organizations serving under-resourced communities in the US and globally. Prior to joining Team4Tech, Amy served as the Director of Youth Investments for Peace First, Inc., the Director of Philanthropy for Action for the Climate Emergency, and the Director of Development and Evaluation for Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center. Amy hails from rural Appalachia where access to education, technology, and opportunity are unequal. Her upbringing ignited her passion for community building through philanthropy and partnerships as a means to engage under-resourced communities in co-designing solutions for resource development. Amy serves on the Advisory Board for Paper Bridges, a youth-led nonprofit organization providing emotional support for orphans and foster children worldwide. She is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Republic of Georgia, 2011-2013) and holds a BA in Anthropology and English Literature from the University of Oregon. She lives in Monticello, NM with her partner and enjoys all of the wild and wonderful places of the world.

Claudio Sassaki

Claudio Sassaki Claudio Sassaki is currently an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Stanford Graduate School of Education. Before that, he was the Co-Founder and CEO of Geekie, an edtech company in Brazil that pioneered ground-breaking, real time data-based learning systems. Sassaki has worked extensively with students, teachers, schools and districts to design and implement personalized learning strategies.… Claudio Sassaki is currently an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Stanford Graduate School of Education. Before that, he was the Co-Founder and CEO of Geekie, an edtech company in Brazil that pioneered ground-breaking, real time data-based learning systems. Sassaki has worked extensively with students, teachers, schools and districts to design and implement personalized learning strategies. He pioneered the use of technology and AI for personalized learning at massive scale in Brazil -more than twelve million students from 5,000 schools have been impacted by the solutions developed by him and his team. Geekie has been the most decorated EdTech in Brazil, having won several national and international awards and documented by worldwide recognized media vehicles such as The Economist, The Guardian, BBC and CNN. Prior to Geekie, he spent several years in investment banking and finance, having reached the position of VP at Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse. Sassaki has been recognized by Wired UK as one of the most important social innovators of the world (Wired UK Innovation Fellow), awarded by Schwab Foundation as Social Entrepreneur of the Year, and by EY as Entrepreneur of the Year Brazil. He is an Edmund Hillary Foundation Fellow, Endeavor Entrepreneur, WISE (World Innovation Summit for Education) Award Winner, Trip Transformador, and Folha de São Paulo Social Entrepreneur. His life and journey with Geekie have been portrayed in two documentaries, A New Capitalism (2017) and Going Forward (2017). Sassaki co-wrote a chapter for the book Visible Learning - Theoretical and Practical Experiences in the Classroom (2022). Sassaki earned his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, Masters in Education from Stanford Graduate School of Education, and he holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Planning from Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil).

Dana Funnell

Prior to Team4Tech, Dana worked at Catchafire for seven years where she managed corporate and foundation partnerships to build nonprofits' capacity through their technology platform and network of pro bono professionals. She supported Catchafire in scaling from a small start-up organization based in New York to a global organization. She has experience orchestrating events, designing team systems, and nurturing client relationships. Her passion lies in the intersection of technology and social impact. Dana holds a BA in Film Studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is a Phi Beta Kappa member for her academic achievements. In her free time, she loves to plan road trips, discover new television shows, and play board games with family.

Dr. Jody Britten

Jody Britten serves as the Head of Research and Innovation. She brings over 20 years of experience in educational technology, digital learning, and key skills development to her work at Team4Tech. Since joining Team4Tech, she has seen her work with the Community of Practice highlighted at SxSWedu, ISTE, and as a finalist in the QS Reimagine Education awards with Wharton Business School. Jody currently sits on several AI advisory councils and is a 2023 member of the HP Futures Council on EdTech for Teachers. She supports our team in our collaborative work with Fab, Inc. on AI for Assessment in Global Education, a Gates Foundation-funded project. Before joining Team4Tech, Jody worked in a senior leadership role at Metiri Group, managing EdTech projects of national and international significance. She launched the Digital Learning Pathways - a learning platform for professional learning related to the ISTE Standards and used by educators and leaders in over 25 countries. Most recently, she contributed as a thought leader and evaluator for the National Center to Improve Faculty Capacity to Use Educational Technology in Special Education, Early Intervention, and Related Services Personnel Preparation and Leadership Personnel Preparation Programs. Jody is an award-winning professor, classroom teacher, and digital learning specialist. As an often-cited researcher, Jody's work in global education and digital learning has been cited by thousands of other scholars. She co-founded SheLeadsEdu, an organization that supports over 6,000 women in education through coaching, professional learning, and mentoring. She is the mother of two kids, three dogs, and of course, a few fish. Jody Britten holds a PhD from the University of Kansas.

Emily has over a decade of experience in workforce development, including supporting refugees resettling in the U.S. Through program development and training initiatives, she has helped hundreds of individuals gain the skills needed to secure employment and thrive in new professional environments. Goutham Kumar

Goutham is responsible for supporting Team4Tech's nonprofit partners in South Asia as well as sourcing new nonprofit partners in the region. He works out of India. Prior to Team4Tech, Goutham has worked in the education landscape in India in various roles at Teach For India and Learning Links Foundation. Goutham is an alumnus of the Teach For India Fellowship Program where he worked as a teacher in an under-resourced community school. Goutham has worked as an Alumni Impact Manager for the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu and has worked in setting up Communities of Practice for the alumni community of 400+. He has also been instrumental in setting up the recruitment strategy for the Teach For India Fellowship Program for the state. He is passionate about education and strongly believes that technology is a powerful tool towards educational equity. Beyond work, Goutham is a cat parent. He plays tennis at the club level and is a part of a two-piece music band called The Coconut Milk Project.

Jennifer Cotter Otieno

Jennifer Otieno is the cofounder and CEO of EdTech East Africa, a home for East African edtech entrepreneurs and enablers (funders, researchers, innovative implementers, technology partners and more). Jennifer is motivated by helping ecosystem members accelerate their pace of progress in creating evidence-based, technology-enabled solutions that improve teaching and learning. Jennifer is also the Kenya Co-Lead for the EdTech Hub, a global research collaborative supported by FCDO, the World Bank, the Gates Foundation and UNICEF that empowers people by providing them with relevant and timely evidence on EdTech. Through this role, Jennifer provides technical assistance to donors, development partners and government leaders to effectively integrate evidence-based technology-enabled teaching and learning into the education ecosystem in Kenya. Jennifer also leads the team at Education Design Unlimited (EDU), a Nairobi-based user-centered research and learning design firm that works in the areas of education, edtech and education for employment. Jennifer has 20 years of experience working with innovative education and youth employment organizations. Previously Jennifer served as the Chief Executive Officer of Spire Education, a soft skills training company based in Nairobi serving youth and companies across East Africa (acquired by Shortlist Professionals in 2017). Prior to Spire, Jennifer led a global team at General Assembly where she spearheaded the design and scale of outcomes and community efforts (acquired by Adecco in 2017). Jennifer also served as Vice President of Education Innovation for the boutique education consultancy, Collaborative Communications Group, in Washington DC. Jennifer has a master's degree in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a bachelor's degree in Linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania. John Solomon - VP

John Solomon is the Vice President, Chrome OS at Google. John drives all aspects of the commercial strategy and execution for the Chrome Operating System. He and his team work closely with global computing OEM's to develop and deliver faster, simpler and more secure computers for users. John and his team are accountable for Google's Chrome OS growth across all customer segments (Consumer, Education and Enterprise), as such they work closely with strategic partners across the globe. John is a highly versatile and strategic technology business leader. Before joining Google, John was the VP of Enterprise and Government at Apple, leading the company's strategic entry into the US enterprise market across private and public sectors. Prior he had a long career at HP culminating in multiple SVP roles across both Printing and PC business units, and running a $20B P&L. Julie Clugage is responsible for growing Team4Tech's partnerships with tech companies and non-profits around the world. She brings more than 20 years of experience in the world of education, technology and economic development. Before founding Team4Tech, she served as Chief of Staff for Intel Corporation's Corporate Affairs Group and as Global Operations Manager for Intel's Education Market Platforms Group. While at Intel, Julie launched the Intel Education Service Corps, a service and career-development program that links Intel technology and 100 employees per year with non-profit organizations working to improve educational quality in communities with limited access to resources. This successful program served as a tested model for Team4Tech. Before joining Intel, Julie worked in international development for seven years at the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, USAID, and a teacher training high school in rural Guatemala. She is the mother of three girls and holds an MPA from Princeton University, an MBA from UC Berkeley, and an AB from Dartmouth College.

Khanh Nguyễn - CFO

Khanh oversees Team4Tech's finance and compliance, ensuring funds are effectively allocated to support the organization's mission and its local partners. Before joining Team4Tech, she led global operations and finance at a youth-led organization; before that, she managed program implementation across seven countries for a global conservation nonprofit. A bit of a lifetime ago, she worked in management consulting. Khanh holds a bachelor's degree from UCLA and a master's degree in International Development and International Education Policy from Harvard University. Outside of work, she enjoys long walks-sometimes lasting weeks in the mountains-and mediating peace talks between her two children.

Lila Ibrahim - Chairman, Founder

Lila Ibrahim is Co-Founder and Board Chair of Team4Tech, and the Chief Operating Officer of DeepMind. Previously, Lila was Chief Operating Officer of Coursera. Lila joined Coursera as its first President in August 2013, bringing over 20 years experience in rapid technology and market growth, including more than a dozen years focused in education technology. She spent 18 years at Intel, holding multiple impactful engineering and marketing positions, starting as a Pentium® microprocessor designer, to establishing DVD standards for PCs, and pioneering Intel's developer program. In 2004, Lila was promoted to Chief of Staff for Intel's CEO & Chairman. During that time Lila led the Digital Village Initiative, incorporating technology into developing communities worldwide to advance education, entrepreneurship, health and e-governance. After that, she rose to General Manager for the company's education product sector (currently named the Education Platform Group) and oversaw design, development and business strategy in penetrating both emerging and developing markets. One of many successes included a national initiative with Portugal that resulted in distributing 400K PCs into classrooms and training 30K teachers in only one year. In 2010, she joined renowned Venture Capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB) as a partner leading operations and business development. Lila earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University. Her achievements have garnered international recognition, earning her honors including: Young Global Leader (World Economic Forum), Henry Crown Fellowship (Aspen Institute), "Women of Vision" (Anita Borg Institute), "2010's Outstanding Electrical & Computer Engineer" (Purdue University).
