DOVE III

The Dove was originally founded in 1892 by Domenico and Conchetta Mattiello in Naples, Italy, "La Colomba". At the young age of 16, grandson John Mattiello came to the United States. Without a penny to his name or in his pocket, John set his eyes on the American dream. After years of hardship, John was determined to make this dream come true for his family. His love was the kitchen, his passion cooking, his dream La Colomba, "The Dove". In 1970 John and Fran Mattiello opened their first restaurant in Flushing Queens, NY. By 1975, John and Fran Mattiello had successfully opened 3 restaurants and in 1976 John Mattiello was Executive Chef of the Hideaway Restaurant in New York City... The Dove III located in beautiful downtown Melbourne offers fine Italian dining with a specialty in Neapolitan cuisine. The dining room is open Monday through Saturday for lunch and dinner...
